I'm at this part where I cross the marsh on world map, and then I go in a cave and see a midgar zolom dead, then i have to go up to it then i am at another screen where i go in a cave, and walk in the cave until i am in the next screen which has stairs, with ether and a chest with a tent. then I am supposed to climb a vine...where is it...what does it look like...what controls do I use to describe it? Please help

Yuo can climb up there for longrange materia. Just walk up to the vine and just keep pressing the OK button near it until you hear the climb sound (that chhh noise) and press up.
To further the storyline go left from the entrance wear youll have a chat with the turks and there will be a vine and a entrance hole . check the holes room and climb the vine with technique used before. Youll find lots of things like that in the game . persistance pays off

like it doesn't let me climb up it. I go up to it and press OK. it doesn't work. Is it the one right at the end of the cliff? like the few vines that are big and thick and brown?

If your playing the Playstation version you can press select and , where the green arrow is thats where you climb. normally it will be the big brown vine.
Oh. another thing, I don't have the PS Version...I have PC

Just click your target button or the button what shows where you are on the map with the glove above your head and look around for a green arrow and click their. That help?
