Need a little advice on this one

I got an unusual request at my GFX shop on another forum I visit. The user asked for a dragon themed tag with blues, silvers, indigos and violets. I was a little taken by the precision in the colors she asked for, but was dismayed to find she left no stock. What's more, she asked for a custom avatar. So I'm a little stumped. I made a tag, but it looks like s**t and I was hoping I could get some stock/color/blending advice from you guys. O: Here's what I have:

Feel free to tell me to start over, since I know it's quite bad. Any takes on this? xP

It looks pretty cool. It looks like there are fireworks in the background. I like all the different colors. The dragon is also a very nice blue color.

Ehh, it's better than anything I could ever make!

It's just that the person I'm making this for is pretty particular, and I want it to be as good as it can be. :/
