Just picked up the Zodiac Spear and was wondering if there's anything other than Knots of Rust in the other chests, because I left quite a few there, wanted to get out and save as quickly as I could lol.

You'll not find much of worth in Nabudis, except for what the secret merchant has to offer. And, of course, your shiny new Zodiac Spear.

So more specifically: no.

Went to the secret merchant, he only had Ethers, was hoping to get Telekenesis for those big ass bird things in the Phon Coast, but guess I gotta wait until later on and comeback.

He sells Maximillians aswell later on doesn't he?

He sells a plethora of new, stronger items after you complete the Great Crystal storyline, along with the highly desirable Telekinesis Technik.

Equip a Diamond Armlet, and the chests will hold Dark Matter instead. You can get Maximilians from the Elvorets, however, its a 1% drop chance. You could also obtain the Grand Armour from the Helvinek. (Rare game)

If you're heading to Archades, you could take a visit to Barheim Passage, and steal a Deathbringer from Ichigo. (Or whatever its name is)

I didn't find out about him until really late on on my first play through, well until you're able to go to Bahamut anyways. Was just running around levelling up and stuff, found him completely by accident, so went practically through the whole game using magicks and switching to bows for fliers. Took out Adrammelech & Phoenix using bows so by time I got Telekenesis it wasn't really needed anymore lol.

Ah well, guess I just got to push on, was hoping to get it early this time, nevermind lol.

Been to Barhiem, got two Deathbringers (gave up after 2, got bored of trying to get Ichugo to spawn, left him alive though so will be able to get more) Got Zalera aswell on that trip.
