After I was made an avatar and sig, I had an inspiration to make some of my own. They didn't turn out to well but I figured constructive criticism could only help me so, here they are.

Note, the names you see are members of my clan. Wedgetail is me .

try not to put so much in lol for avatars they look huge and soo empty ideal size for a avvi is about 96x96 or 100x100 try working with that and maybe animate them to fit everything you want in them

what program are you using paint shop pro 9 ya should have a copy of animation shop with it lol so if ya not sure how to animate siggy's and avatars i'll rough a tutorial up for ya okies

I see you've been throwing the renders in and add some texts.
Look mate try duplicating layers and blending modes, The clone stamp is useful sometimes.
I'll point to Tom Clancy's picture, the background is a gradient map, and that means that your works need more work , but since you are new in this I'll just say they are good however not all tags need texts, good luck anyway.

They look good, but like the person above said, duplicate layers and blinding modes.

These aren't bad, but keep working on it, and you'll get better at it. Good luck.
