Name: Tethar Atrum
Age: Impossible to tell due to his immortality
Race: Demon
Sex: Male
Physical Description:
* Height:
5,9
* Weight: 13 stone
* Eyes: red
* Hair: black, waist long, smooth and straight
* Appearance: Thin with moderate muscles on his arms and legs. Pale skin which contrasts with his dark hair.no facial hair at all. High cheek bones. Eyebrows are angled up at the ends and down in the middle.

Personality
He seems quiet, the first impression people get is of a deep thinker. Though he seems this way he is infact always aware of what is around him. He never shows any extreme emotion at all. He never gets angry or upset or even happy. Though on a rare occasion he may find some thing amusing or irritating. His reactions are small and breif nothing but shadows of what Humans feel.
He has no regrets of becoming what he is. He has seen and done things no one else could ever imagine and that alone is worth the endless hours of nothing.
Though in the time of his birth people had many prejudices, Tethar has adapted and embraced the modern ideas of equalty amonsgt all mankind. Though he is not Human and is therefore beyond all those around him.
He has few possetions and he has learned that such things are easily replaced. However he does seem very attached to his scythe.
Through his long life Tethar has accomplished many things, however he has long ago lost any desire to strive for things. He has learned that everything changes and the actions of one individual are meaningless. Therefore Tethar has no goals or desires, and does not bear any responsibility.

Weapon
Tethar wields a giant scythe as his weapon of choice. It would be difficult but not impossoble for a Human to use it. Tethar however has no problem with it because of his Demon strength.
It is made of a wooded handle and a metal blade, and also a metal spike on the base.
The wood is black and smooth varnished to a perfect finish. The metal appears to be silver and glows with such a radience, however it is not a weak metal like silver and has existed almost aslond as Tethar himself. So it is belived to be of Demonic origin.
In the modern age Tethar still carries it with him were ever he goes. This tends to cause a few problems with the local authorities who belive people should nt be allowed to walk around with 8 foot scythes.

Abilities/Magic/Skills
During his long life Tethar has mastered a great many skills. Things such as leather making to proide himself with clothes. The skills of a blacksmith to make sure his equipment and weapon are always ready and in good condition.
Aside from this many skills Tethar has also dedicated much of his time to the study of magic. His immortality affords him much time. He is a very powerful sorcerer and his immrtal body means he is able to channel energies beyond any Human.

Strengths
As a Demon Tethar is immortal. He also has great physical strength and is impossible to kill, though he can still be cut and sliced, wounds heal almost instantly and he is far beyond noticing the pain. Also he has dedicated much of his immortal life to the study of magic and is easliy the most powerful mage in existance.

Weaknesses
Though a Demon, Tethar still ironically shares one trait with Humanity. His greatest strength is his greatest weakness. His immortality, it has made his emotions subbdued. As he has seen so much in his life and experianced so much, things no longer effect him so much. Losing someone has happend to him many times and the tears stopped coming a long time ago. Things that might once have brought joy have been seen already.
The problem with immortality is that after a while there ceases to be any point. As no matter what you do, you have already done it.

History
Tethar was born a long time ago to Human parents, and he himself was a perfectly normal child at the time. He grew up with his parents leading a normal life. His parents ran a small store in a city selling basic supplies to the local people. The name of that city has been lost to time as it was been forgotten long ago as was it's location.

Tethar's parents who were called Joachim and Aystal, raised there son to be independent and confident in his actions. Polite and helpfull to others and they also tried to teach him of their God.
Tethar did indeed become polite and helpful aswell as comfident in his actions which were always independent.
However he refused to have anything to do with his parents religious beliefs.

In this ancient time there were many Gods and Goddesses. Joachim and Aystal thought that Tethar had come to believe in another of these Gods. This was perfectly acceptable in that time as all the Gods were considered equall in their roles and value. So they took him around all the shrines and places of worship.

However Tethar refused them all and denied any of them were worthy of him.

Such a thing was herasy and blasphemy.

He was banned from visiting the shrines by the town councill. As the people of the town looked on Tethar laughed. He did not care that he had been banned from the places he had no interest in and it amused him that these religious fools belived it was even worth mentioning.
However Tethar was a polite person so e stopped his laughter and apologised to the townsfolk and his parents.
He apologised that he could never be like them and worship a god or goddess but he jsut did not see these things as worthy of his time.
Though what he had done was considered herasy, Tethar was very well liked amongst all the townsflok and it was agreed that if he left the town when he came of age and did not voice his disbelif of the gods while he remained. Then he would be left in peace.

He agreed.
That event was when he was just seven years old.
He came of age when he was fourteen and upon that day when he left his village never to return. Everything changed.

************************

Leaving his villaged Tethar passed through a cave that went through a mountain. It was built by Dwarves in ages gone but had been abbandoned for no apparent reason. It went very deep but no one dared go into it further then they had to. So it was used to travel under a mountain and nothing more. The Dwarves were no longer there to keep it safe, so an accident was inevitable

There was a cave in.

Behind and infront, Tethar was trapped.
He had no choice but to go deeper into the mountain, as no one was coming to help him. He was alone but he ad been tought to be independent and he strove into the darkness unafraid.

Dwarves can be fools. Somethings are best left buried. They did not abandon the mountain mine. They never left, they never had the chance.
Deep within that mountain ancient creatures dwelt. Not any race known on the face of that world. Though there were myths and legends of them and they were feared.
The ancient creatures said to be the enemies of the Gods themselves. Ancient evils that were far worse than anything Humanity could ever dream of or see in their nightmares.

Deep within that mountain Tethar came to a door. An ancient door that had no handle and no hinges. It was made of a black metal and a red glow came from behind it.
As he approched the door it opened, without making a sound. Beyond the threshold Tethar could not see anything, there was only darkness. Nothing of the red glow that still eminated beyond the door though nothing existed to cast it.

Confident in his actions and having no other real choice, Tethar stepped through that ancient door to the darkness that lay beyond.

What lay beyond, in the depths of that darkness...Was hell.
Nothing in the Human imagination could ever begin to come close to this place. It was not a place of eternal danmnation and torture. It was another place another world. A world that was not Human and was inhabited by creatures that were not Human. Humans could never understand these creatures. Though they understood Humans very well indeed.

What happend in that place is known only to those creatures and Tethar. No one else knows of them and Tethar will never speak of it.
He walked to the surface the cave in not able to stop him for long.

The Tethar that walked out of that mountain was not the Tethar that walked into it.
He had ceased to be Human and become what they were become one of those ancient beings that were totally beyond Humanity.

He had become an Immortal Demon.

**************************

From that point on he walked the path he still walks today. An immortal unbound by any Human limitations, living forever and wahtching the world change around him. He could easily pass for Human as his apperance was that of one.

Though as Human as he looks his eyes reveal his true nature. Glowing the colour of blood his eyes are the eyes of a Demon.
