MY JELLY ABILITY DOESN'T WORK ON ZIDANE!!!!!!

Okay, so I have the Jelly ability mastered for Zidane, but lo and behold, I'm fighting a Basilisk, and he uses Gradual Petrify (which, according to the help Moogle, Jelly prevents), and Zidane gets petrified!

What's going on, here?!?!

Have you got Jelly equipped? That may be your problem. Mastery only gives the option to use the ability without the ability giving items.

I guess I just didn't understand that mastery doesn't let you keep the skill even if you don't have it equipped
