Well I'm sure you all heard of this program, except those who have mac.
But right now I'm having a problem with mine that I'm not sure what to do about.
I usually use movie maker for AMV making and slide show videos. But the problem is that when I try to import a sound file it says: "The selected file is not valid or is corrupted." And I don't get why. I never had any problems in tell now. And the sound file is always the same.

So does anyone know what the problem is? :V

Windows movie maker just sucks ass. Mine did the same thing as well. I used to make my own pvp videos when I played WoW and one day it just started acting funny. Best thing you can do is go and download Sony Vegas or whatever the fuck it's called.

I dunno exactly what the problem is but it could be the case that windows movie maker isn't recognizing something. I had a problem like that with a vid and it turned out a codec was missing while everything worked fine on the laptop.
Is it a mp3? Maybe you could change the format to WMA and maybe it works then.

Ah so it looks like its not only me with the problem. Dx

JesusVsThePolice- Oh well that sucks. T_T; It seems to have many problems. :/ And thanks I will have to check out that program.

Kandy-Sugar- Yeah, I tried loads of different songs and none seem to work.
Hmm I could try, but I don't think thats the reason. I tried songs from cds and ones I have downloaded and none worked. D:
Ahh yeah it is. >.<

Crystal- Hmmm. And well I tried both formats; mp3 and WMA and it still said the same thing. So not sure what to do aha.

The main problem? Its Wndows, there will always be problems -- Are you sure the music format is MP4 or MP3? That could be a cause.

I used to use WMM but I couldn't take the problematic...well, problems...so I use Sony Vegas now, that really the best course of action to be taken.

Well not the same song. Right now when I tried to use a same song that I used to make in a previous video it said: "could not be imported. Class not registered"

But the file type of Mp3 and WMA I have used before.

And I'm not sure of the version, its been on my computer ever sense I got it. But it might be 2.1 or something (as when I was searching for another movie editing software I came across movie maker again so it might be 2.1 or so.)

Its the format of mp3 and WMA and both have worked in the past.

Well I found that program free so I'm currently downloading it.
But I was quite use to movie maker so ehh. Aha.
