I brought Final Fantasy 12 3 months back and am having trouble with it. The farthest in the game I've gotten is Nabalina Dungeons and after that I lose interest in the game. Any advice?
I don't have anything to motivate you with, the game is disappointing from start to finish. I ended up doing all but 4 of the hunts to get more out of the game just so I wouldn't feel cheated out of $60.
But I suppose if you have a thing for visiting awesome environments, you can keep going. Archades is pretty awesome, the Barheim Passage is really cool (not the part you escape the dungeons from, another section), and the Nabreus Deadlands are just stunning. That location will keep you gawking at things constantly.
And Sneaks, here you go, this site has everything you could possibly need to know for 12.
No prob. That site is actually more useful than the official strategy guide, especially when it comes to outlining boss strategies. The guide will just say vague things like "OH TAKE DOWN THESE GUARDS FIRST THEN GO IN FOR THE KILL" but the site will mention weaknesses (if they have any) and effective ways to go about disposing of bosses and hunts. Plus it details alot of optional things like how to get the ultimate weapons, alot of sidequests (the guide actually fails to mention critical information on how to unlock the Barheim passage), etc.
This game will disappoint on a grand scale when it comes to characters and story, but if you can detach yourself and just immerse yourself in the elaborate world, you should be able to get a decent amount of enjoyment out of the game.
Obviously, of course, this is just Rockmans opinion. Though you'll find similar opinions to his, there are still a lot of people who generally do love the game for what it is - they love the characters, story etc.
My advise is getting to know the game better, it sparks interest in the game and stops players getting board as easily since they understand the game more. To do this read through the extra bits in the beastily(the sections you get when you kill a certain amount of enemies) most of these contain infomation about the game that I found quiet interexting and helped me understand the game more.
Reading through these might spark renewed interest but if they don't you should rest and come back to the game after a while.
