Most Debated About Game Ever?

Ok well thinking about it FF7 is the greatest of all FF games - but why? is it the story? the characters? the battle systems?

Well duh yes

But it is also very dear and very close to our hearts because even after ten Years - yes TEN YEARS this game is STILL being debtaed about.

The most famour debates are obviously of course - the numourous Aeris Ressurection theorys, and of course - the creme de la creme of FF debates: Aeris VS Tifa.

These are debates which will probably never be answered or resolved so im asking you - is there any other game which has been as heavily and frankly - Brutally - debated about as FF7? and in some weired way have the debates enusred FF7s legacy.......Forever?
 
Its the most debated game ever because it did set the bar for rpg games .(its the best game ever). from characters stories, to plots it has the making of a heavenly done game.
 
This game is debated alot because it's one of square's best games yet. It was the first Final Fantasy to be made entirely in 3 dimensions rather than the classic 2-d format. The storyline had everything romance, action, drama, comedy, suspence, horror, mystery need I go on. The characters were well thought out allong with the background stories which were so good they made spin-off games about them.
 
It's probably debated so much because it is the most popular game in the series and there were a lot of things left open. Such as: Did Cloud love Aeris or Tifa? Did humanity survive at the end of the game? (Although AC answered this for us). What was the meaning of the scene after the credits? What was going to happen to the world with out Shinra's leadership? Did Cid love Shera? What is with Lucretia? Did Aeris come back to life at the end? What were the meaning of her words "I'll come back when this is all over."

I remember a time when people would argue whether humanity survived at the end of the game or not. And sometimes the debates could get pretty heated. AC came along and answered most of these questions so really the only one that remains is AerisVsTifa and maybe a few others.

Many fans of Final Fantasy have never played a game before VII, and I've always felt that VII was the best game of the PS FF's and on. It's my third favorite game of the series.

VIII, IX, and X didn't really leave any questions after their games ended and VIII and IX are no where near as popular as VII. X could have left some questions but X-2 answered all of them.

No it's not :P...sorry AG but this is the truth indeed.

I think the ppl like FF7 coz it's the game who made SE famous thats why...not coz it's cool.
 
its the bench mark in rpg and personally i still think the stories/issues involved make it the best so farin the series (except possibly FFX even then its hard pressed the beat the number complexities invovled and i havent played XII yet ... hasnt come out here yet :'( ) anyway there are so many plot points that can be expanded on and questioned. it makes people think. and i think that is what makes any story great.
