So, I finally delivered all the letters, got the
superslick of Ruby
and took it to Artemicion, only to be rewarded with a FUCKING PROTECT RING

What a let down. I would have rather had a useless key item than a protect ring which I already have one of -__-

Sure it was fun delivering letters, but unless I had actually wrote down the whereabouts of all the moogles so I could find them all, I would have been doing my nut. I remember trying to find them all last time I played and it did my head in. If I had remembered it was just a crappy protect ring I wouldn't have bothered -__-

/end rant

 Nice one.
I hate stuff like that too. You waste what feels like billions of hours doing one stupid thing that you feel that you'll be rewarded out of with something brilliant, and you get a stupid item like that. And it really sucks when its one of the ten million you've got already.

...I kind of went on a rant too. ^_^

I always thought the Protect Ring was pretty useful XD

I kind of like the Mognet Central sidequest even if the reward isn't a huge one. It's kind of fun delivering all the letters, and reading them - and the added bonus of seeing all the sweet moogles! It's one of those little touches I like in FFIX.

I liked delivering those letters. Of course I would've appreciated a better reward, but it doesn't really matter. It's the joy of having to roam the fabulous world of Gaia that counts for me. ^_^

I didn't really take the letter delivering too seriously until my second playthrough when I was fairly disappointed with the reward just like everyone else except for a certain someone. :P

Is it just me or does it actually take some planning to pull off? I remember having 2-3 letters without ever finding the damn Moogles who's supposed to get it and I'd turn up throwing letters away. :gasp:

Not so much planning as more trying to speak to every god-damn-moogle you see. and asking them repeatedly about mognet. and yeah a protect ring is kinda sucky. even if it was a ribbon, it wouldn't be worth it! but I still end up doing it anyway, I feel sorry for the poor guy, he only wanted to make his fur all soft and shiny! ^_^

I've spoken to every Moogle I've seen and I still got about 3 letters that I probably didn't deliver when I had my only chance to. :gasp:
