I have not heard any of their earlier stuff, and I know a lot of fans argue about their earlier records vs their later records. But I can't say anything on that score. What I will say though is that I have The Moon and Antarctica, Good News For People Who Love Bad News (the album that got me into them) and We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank and they range from great to brilliant. I love Isaac Brock's snapping and snarling vocals. We Were Dead... was my favourite album of last year, especially the glorious Spitting Venom near the end. It was a nice idea to get a genius like Johnny Marr to join the band as well for that album, best thing he's been involved with since The Smiths split up.
