Created an RP forum back in '08 for several friends and myself to move our RP characters into. It's mainly been the half a dozen of us, though I'm looking to expand and add more members at this point.
There are other movie/comic, etc. boards on it, though the main focus is roleplay. Again, right now it's roughly half a dozen of us, but I'd like to see if I can bolster the numbers a bit. Guidelines aren't too strict, though complete character profiles are mandatory and we like you to have a bit more than just a clue as to what you're doing. RP types are pretty much whatever you can dream up too
Oh, and the interesting bit is the Advanced Roleplay section.
Basically back when I first started participating in roleplays, the things ran more like collaborative fanfics; everyone controlling everyone's characters with a basic understanding of how such characters operated. It is significantly trickier as you not only have to be good at playing your characters, but have an idea of how other players' characters would act as well. It takes getting used to; but it is fun.
