Like half of the programs for Windows are anti-virus and anti-spyware XD
Linux is already taking alot of market share, it's FREE, stable, it's extremely fast and user friendly. Fedora Core 5 seems to have all of those, theres many extra programs but many are awesome!
Any third-party can create software for Mac, and it's increasing, but Im guessing that Open-source software will take over soon...

Linux taking market share? When did this happen? No, Linux will always have a small market share and even smaller when you look at how many distros there are. If you want to mass-market something, it has to have common elements and features. With OS's, it has to be extremely user friendly and intuitive enough for Joe Schmoe to use. Joe Schmoe don't understand all that complicated stuff with command line codes and other stuff. They just want things to work. Ease of use is another thing.

Linux is nice because it's open source and free but I don't see it becoming the next dominant OS. Right now is a perfect timing for another OS to come into the picture. Just look at Firefox and other software that are replacing MS products. I'm sure a lot of people are fed up with MS Windows and its security patches and vulnerbilities. When a better OS comes out and does meet or surpasses expectations and the word gets around, I'm sure people will start jumping ships.

Im talking about linux ones like Ubuntu
like this
And GNOME
like this, this, and this
they look very user friendly and easy to use for me 0.o

Gnome and stuff like it aren't really other O.S. but more similar to what Windows 95 and 98 were. They were just DOS GUI just as GNOME is a GUI for Linux or to be exact, a desktop environment.

Yes it does prove that but I've tried those and well, guess I'm not really impressed with it. But user friendly is only one aspect of an OS. What Linux needs now is the software compliment that Windows have.

I don't know how most people are like "oh i hate microsoft" if you really do i hope your not using Microsoft Windows, msn and the xbox 360

I hate Microsoft. They're a big gaping corporal asshole on this earth. They have crappy, buggy software. It crashes all the time.

I use Linux distros. Linux is way better because the communities care about the people, and not the money. Since they're making little money from the people anyway. At least from their products.

Ubuntu is a distribution of Linux. It runs the Linux kernel but has it's own hardware compatibility and other things. GNOME isn't an OS, it's a desktop environment for Linux. Ubuntu uses GNOME, but it also has a KDE variant called Kubuntu. And yes, GNOME is 10x more easier and user-friendly than Microsofts shit.
