I dotn do much video editing, but from my experience, Windows Movie Maker sucks, dunno if it's the cause, but DRM protection rights is a nightmare! I cant even play WMV files here, not even on windows 0.o

As glitchy as it is, It's more compatible with Programs, and easier to use than Mac or Linux.

It certainly is not easier to use than the Mac OS. Macintosh is way more user friendly.
Linux is more difficult as it designed for the computer-saavy and those who know what they are doing and want to be able to customize/program the OS, etc. It's not meant to be "mainstream".
I also found Mac much easier, no need for 4000 files when u install something XD
And linux is a bit more harder, you can make your ur own operating system using linux anyways, and there was this program that lets you emulate windows programs on mac somehow

Yeah but more games are compatible for Windows.
Who cares if it's glitchy it works for me.
If you had to use Winblows, it would only be for the games. But you don't need it to use the Internet, check your e-mail, use IM, use office programs, play music, or watch videos. Linux and Mac can do those just fine, if not, better than Winblows can. Most people tend to think that Winblows is more user friendly, but it's often because they are introduced to it first, and get used to using Winblows before the other OSes.
For those who are interested, there is a more user-friendly way of using Linux, which is by using something like Fedora for Linux which gives it a GUI, and looks somewhat like Winblows, but isn't quite Winblows. As in you can see the difference. I haven't tried installing programs on it yet because I only used a campus computer, but if you can get someone to do the installation stuff for you, I suppose you wouldn't really need to be a computer geek to use it.

Well, i don't know what your talking about. I have never had a problem with Windows. I've had a problem with a Mad Dog video card, but that was it. I have always found Windows reliable. Plus, I have a feeling the virus problem has more to do with your virus protection software, not the OS. Macs probably just come with better software like McAfee, or however you spell it, but that stuff can be bought or downloaded. If I would have to choose, it would definitly be windows. It's much better.
Well, I hate McAfee, so if I had a Winblows system, I'd use AVG. It's better and less annoying. I don't even have any anti-virus software for my Mac. There probably is anti-virus software for Macs, but I've never had to use one. Even though I only have 128MB of RAM.
No, Macs do not come with better anti-virus software. I don't even have an anti-virus program on my Macs. They don't need them like Windows PC's do! Symantec used to make one for the Macintosh, but they stopped supporting it because there was no need for it really. The only people who would use one are the suckers that are so used to Windows that they think every single computer needs anti-virus software.

Really, the only thing that Windows has over Mac is the amount of games for it, and that is slowly declining with the increacing Mac user population.
If there was any correlation between increasing Mac users and increasing virus problems on Macs, then perhaps the idea that few people using Macs means few people making viruses for Macs might be true. But then again, it's probably difficult to hack Macs anyways because it's Unix based.

Yes, I agree. I cannot wait to be able to walk into my local gamestore and be able to buy a game for my Macintosh!
Theres also more and more games for Linux too now, and more companies or business' are using Linux, which could put an end to Microsoft!
Also, Ive seen miserable failures in Vista, I heard that the original release date was actually somewhere around 2002 but Microsoft never said it, because it kept delaying it so much. It also took MS like 18 months to make the logging in sound of Vista or something XD And vista got auto-lock or something if it suspects you of having pirated software on your computer. The new Windows Media Player got DRM protection now, which is so bad, it wouldnt let me play any WMV file, even on Windows Media Player! Thier new Zune is a disaster, the music sharing concept is great, but the technology it uses it crap, it's very slow transfers and it got protection too, so you got to pay for the songs or something. And once, I was curious so I browsed to the Anti-Virus section of Download,com and theres so much software for that! When on Mac or Linux, I dont think I have ever got a virus, in over a year. But when I start using windows, Norton keeps popping up every 10 minutes, either saying that they spotted and deleted a virus, that they spotted a virus but they couldnt do anything, that I tried to hack into my own computer or that they recommend that I do a scan right away. Most of the time they cant delete a virus XD When scanning, it takes up so much CPU and RAM, I could hardly do anything, the computer just lags and nothing runs properly, and then the scanning lags, and I cant do shit! Also whenever I run a game, and im done playing, I quit and my screen freezes at the Desktop, so I restart my computer, the Task Manager never works...

Actually, just last night, Microsoft Messenger totally went wacko on me, erroring out and freezing! I forced it to quite and tried to reinstall, but it was still running even when I had closed it....Only a Microsoft product would do that....*sigh*

I wouldn't be so sure about that....Mac's are getting more mainstream attention every day.
And I know, that's why I LOVE Blizzard...you can play WoW, StarCraft, Diablo, all on both Windows and PC. Everyone should be like them!
MSN messenger is so crap, once I was just bwrowsing using Firefox, and suddenly somebody starts talking to me, and the computer freezes!
You can always use alternatives to MSN Messenger, theres Gaim, which is also for Linux, and probably Mac, and Trillian, many more though!
There was also something to let you play PC games on Mac, if anyone wants to know anything more about it, PM me.

You know what I see, I think it's a perfect time for another OS to come in and draw market share. I don't think Linux will be able to do this because there are already a lot of Linux versions out there. All you need is market off a reliable OS that is stable, small (no extra stuff) and fast and extremely user friendly. Not only that but make it a freeware and you got it. Oh yeah, do forget to add in great driver support.
Macs are nice but aren't they a closed system as in it's tough for 3rd party to get some action? I think that is why the Macs are not that good. With the many programs that support Windows, most people prefer Windows over any other OS.
