You had the right idea and great effort for first sig. What you need to try and focus on is making the render/stock look like it's meant to be there. Like it's part of the surroundings, even if the surroundings are crazy. Try to blend it in. Colours are chosen well for the BG though, so no problems there. Text is alright, try to choose a more easy on the eyes colour though. Nice stuff!! Keep it up!
Hi Cloud,Alright, this is my first attempt at a sig in photoshop. I don't think it's real horrible; but it doesn't suck as much as my drawings.
For a first attempt, you principle is sound ... your execution is limited, but of course that's to be expected ... no worries there.
I recommend that you wade yourself through as many tutorials as you can. That's how learnt Photoshop inside and out before I moved to Linux and GIMP. A good starting point for photoshop tutorials is here: http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/adobe_photoshop/
Dive into it, try as many tuts as you can, regardless of whether the subject matter interests you or not, and I reckon you can be pretty good.
Pretty good. Only thing I'd comment on would be adding some glow or a small border around the text to bring forward a bit. Apart from that, it's pretty cool.I just go to this post, I haven't been on for a while..
