I've been thinking a lot about what to do my 50,000 word thesis upon once I finish my graduate degree in Creative Writing and Australian Studies. FF7 as one of the most successful games ever released and with such a strong and continued fan base I am intrigued and am looking for that something a little more academic to focus upon aside from the fantastic narrative, I require to focus my creative and analitcal skills upon why people are so drawn to RPGs. Taking into account the empathy with characters and general excitment and entertainment videogames can be. Any suggestions would help greatly as I would love to present my final asessment based upon my most fondest story and videogame experience, I have til end of September to decide. Cheers.

Not really sure on why Final Fantasy VII is liked so much.
But a friend says that one of the reasons is because she relates to the characters. That the characters are human, un- prefect and you are able to relate to them, like you can understand their difficult past, feelings/ emotions..
Would say think it through, though it sounds like a unique study which will grab the people who score your study attention because it's so different, and well thought out.
But have no idea, feel that Final Fantasy VII is good - because- it's ..... good !!
