Is there anyway to get all the magicks and technicks sooner than after a certain event? It feels like it'll become useless by the time I get certain magicks and technicks at the rate it's going. I still have the most basic dark magic and I'm in the Rainy giza plains. I read a lot of the good magic becomes uselesss by the time you get it. Bleh.

I'm afraid you'll just have to wait until certain magicks become available to you. There's no way to get them any sooner. And no, the magicks won't be useless by the time you access them (unless you level-grind so much that your way ahead of the normal level at that part of the game). I really only used magick with Penelo and in her case it always did more than her regular attack so it was pretty useful. And the support magicks are never obsolete. 
Nope... there is no way of doing it unless you cheat.. you have to progress in the storyline to get better spells.. cause i mean do you really think it would be fair if you were using Holy on enemies in some of the first areas?
