This is the Topic for the Mages Guild, of the RPG inferno.

To any players, newbies or pros alike.
Do not hesitate to enter here, even if you are low lvl.
This guild, is for the ones that chooses to become seekers of magical lore.
For people that make there strength in the magic, and resort little to weapons.

Do you need help?
Fear not, the guild mates will help if they are avalible.

The types of Mages.
- Sage:
One that focuses totally on the magical side of battle. Be it white, or black magic. They never resort to using weapons, and instead, uses items to enhance their magical abilities.
(MAG significantly higher then STR, and don't use combat skills, nor weapons)

- Battle Mage. (AKA Spell sword)
One that utilizes both weapons, and magic alike.
they tend to use white magic, and a few selected one from the Black magic school. They try to keep a balance between the physical, and mental strength.
(Has MAG slightly higher then STR, and uses short swords, as well as magic. May use Combat skills)

- Pure Blood. (AKA, mages, elementalists, white/red/black mages)
one that uses mainly magic, but has an increased strength then the Sage.
they rarely use weapons, but they tend to do so variously.
(MAG higher then STR. Don't use Combat Skills)

Guild Ranks
For now, Ill be having 4, the 2 ranks, is Dependant on your mastery of spells.
- Leader
- Vice Commander
- Mage
- Acolyte

well. in the RPG, you have to be lvl 50 co continue from Warbourne bridge.

and as you gain, and lvl more spells, you'll will be promoted to "mage"
 
Aye, Aye but where exactly is Warbourne's Bridge once I level up to 50?
 
after you are done with the "Hall of Warrior/mages" then you get to a temple/tower
after that, there is the bridge.

there you can pay an old man 1k gil, and he lets you go to fire, or ice cavern, and eventually gain a pet (Fire = ifrit.. Ice = shiva)

Also, after you are lvl 50, you can start to fight tonberrys (central ruins) and you get items her, that eventually lets you fight tonberry king
and gain the tonberry as a pet (best yet)

And we have the other way that leads into a forest town, where they have some good potions, as well as items
 
I know about the summons. But Lv 50 is totally overkill. I mean, it is is alot easier for a pure Mage or Pure Warrior because your stats will be suited towards either Path... But both tunnels are hard for me....
 
I'll join, sence the warriors guild is becoming too powerful. One side cannot have all the power...

I think we have all the mages in the RPG gathered.

hopefully, there are more.
 
The pureblooded ones are. The hybrids who lean on magic a lot... Not sure. -shrug- But... As magic goes, we have the key players.
 
well. according to Koloth, we have 2 more mages.

I also accept battle mages.
but beware, later in the game ,you HAVE TO CHOOSE A SIDE. and that choice is permanent, and will govern the spells, and abilities you gain.

This will make it easier for me to see what "side" they are on later.
if they chose the warrior path, they are not a mage, hence, no access to the guild.

But yeah, I hope the remaining mages will enter. If there is to be a "war" later on.
The mages are at a severe disadvantage.
Both in numbers, and power.
 
I'm continuing to be a Battlemage throughout the game. Now that my magic is the same as my strength, I should be more proficient in battle.
 
So, let me guess... You drop haste, berserk, and then curse and Fira and just attack like crazy after that, right?
 
Aye. I keep casting Fira after every 3 turns, and now that the Cascado spell has been released, I can use that to boost my magic further.
 
Too complicated... By the time all your buffs are on, you're dead, basically. =\
