Well since no-one had a thread on this, and I own the game, just wanna see who else has or played this game.

If you have, did you get all the medals on all planets?

I did, but a looong time ago.

this board just reminded me of the old days

It was my second N64 game, ah the memories. I had all the medals and stuff, addictive and bloody brilliant game and the use of the rumble pack made it even more special.

Shame the Starfox games since have been on a whole absolute crap.

This was my first N64 Game i've ever own. I played this game, like everyday i play this game, i get every medal on the level i go through. the only medal I have left (and still up to date) the the medal from Sector Z.

^Is that the one where the missiles are coming towards the greatfox? (the big ship) I remember i found that quite frustrating. And as a 9 - 10 yr old, i think thats how old i was, it wasnt cool, but i got it in the end.

I loved the multiplayer, i kicked ass in that... me and my cousin would do a mock airshow with the Arwing hahaha... I miss those days.

Only down side is you cant pick the stage. I loved the independence day stage (referring to the movie "Independenca day) where you gotta defeat those ships before time runs out. Love it.

Great game, though it's a tad short. Star Fox 64 can be fully completed in one sitting. Still, the game is classic.

The campaign is epic, and the multiplayer is solid.

Was among my top 5 levels but not the best, my fave was the final stage before Venom along the hard route which was called Area 6 I believe. That level was fucking intense with blowng the living hell out of hundreds of fighters, capital ships and to round it off a pretty awesome boss, no other medal had that same sense of achievement you got when you won it.

Oh yeah i think i remember that stage... and the greatfox help out a bit.. its either that or the one where you encounter the wolf and pigma? ant that space station...

On the topic of Lylat Wars, what was your favourite vehicle in multiplayer? mine is obviously the Arwing

Star Fox 64 was one of my favorite games ever I really liked the sun lvl it was too fun anyways Star Fox was one of the easiest games I have ever played it took me 2 days to get all the medals on both expert and regular difficulty.

Lylat Wars 64 was easy but it had a lot of replay value. I enjoyed everytime I played this game. One of my favourites, especially for the N64.

Fuckin' A. I loved this game as a kid. I got it as a birthday present. It was really quite addictive I remember I would spend all my time playing that game. 'tis a shame I haven't played another Star Fox game since then.

I liked this game alot it was one of my top 5 favorite N64 games I always like playing it on "Expert" cause it was actually a challenge for me.I thought getting the metals were cool cause I killed everything I saw.:)

This was and still is an awesome game. Starfox 64 is still one of my favorite games of all time. I loved Katina, Macbeth and the Venom Starwolf fight and hated Aquas, Zoness and Titania. (Who actually went there instead of Macbeth, anyway?) The gameplay was so good that I think it can easily stand up to Starfox Assault.

My favorite vehicle is the Arwing, which is why the amount of Landmasters in Brawl upsets me.

Loved this game. Although I never owned it until some time ago, I would rent it at nearly chance I got. The gameplay was smooth, the music was awesome, and the graphics weren't too shabby for their time. An all-round great game that definitely should played at least once. It's a shame the later Star Fox games can't live up it to 64's greatness.

Haha, we rented it a lot before we bought it, too. It was so popular that the local rental places were always out of them. We'd call and say, "Do you have any copies of Starfox 64?" The employee would say, "Uh... maybe. We'll check. There might be a copy." Or something else vague. Of course, we'd get there and there would be no copies left, but they'd try to get us to rent something else.

But back on topic. The music from that game was also good. My favorites were Area 6, Katina and Macbeth/Titania. I even liked the menu theme.
