Today we say good bye to a man who had a turly amazing voice. Luciano Pavarotti passed away surrounded by family and friends this morning aged 71. He was diagonsed last year with cancer and sadly it claimed himthis morning.

The man was an Italian treaure and brought classic Italian music to the masses. I remember him when I was a child singing at the World Cup when I was a young girl and he moved me to tears because his voice was so poweful and dramatic.

Rest in Peace Luciano Pavarotti.

I watched the tribute to him on BBC2 earlier today, they showed footage of his an open air concert in Central Park, he performed great then and Nessun Dorma was deffinitely the highlight for me. I think he'll be remembered for a long time to come because of his music, he was, as you say, a legend.

It's a shame to see him go, one of my earliest footballing memories is of the 1990 World Cup, and his version of Nessun Dorma was one of the key things I remember of it.

I saw this on 4Chan last night...I used to watch his performances on PBS when I was a little kid T_T

My mom told me yesterday he died. Sad he died at the age 71, he had such powerful voice.

Enormous voice, great personality, and from what I hear, a great person as well. A huge loss for modern art. He'll definitely be missed for some time to come.
