Low Level + Far In Game!? What!?

I look on youtube videos sometimes and i see some videos with characters level 1-3 at Feywood.. and u can only buy the firefly accessory (reduce xp earned to 0, +2 to str) at the phon coast.. so.. in order to get tat far, u have to level like crazy, but how do ppl manage to stay at levels 1-3 tat far? and beat bosses
 
You have more than 3 characters. My Penelo is lvl 12 because she joins your party at lvl 1 and I haven't used her in a single battle. If you use all the other characters, then you cna have half your team stay at lvl 1 during the game. Why? Who knows. But that's the only thing I can think of.
 
its because they farm good equipment from rare monsters and they have to set up good gambit as well ^_^
 
My main party is level 70+, Arshe and Balthier are 15. lol
I plan on level them sometime, before fighting Yiazmat anyway. Just for backup :)
But anyway, characters kept outside the party dont gain exp. Did the level 1-3's kill anything in Feywood?
You can get to Feywood pretty easy in the beginning of the game. Just have to run some :)

it always doesnt depend on the level it also has to do with talent gambits and equipment

I just looked online and stuff, and apparently, there is a guide (low level challenge) to get through the game... and i see these videos of this person using levels 1,2,2,3,3,3 to beat certain bosses.. ITS AMAZING!

Well you can buy a ring to supress any gaining of exp, but it's only available later in the game with lots of dinero. So how they raise the money, I"m not sure. :/
 
Just use steal on enemies to get loot, then run from them. That wont give you any exp :)
 
I was also puzzled but then I remembered that the leveling in this game sucks. He probably just avoided killing anything and got some money some other way. You barely get any increases to your stats when you level.
 
Aztec has hit the nail on the head. If you just stick to the same 3 party members and never change them then you will have 3 characters by the time you reach the Feywood who are completely low level. I can't see the point though. In my current run through of the game Van is lvl 61 and everyone else is lvl 52. Makes boss battles a bit easier as I have 3 very strong reserves.
