Aemeath
Because I said so.
This challenge wouldn't even be called a challenge without Omega Weapon and the Deep Sea Research Centre. It's far too easy compared to other LLC games. Unlike in FFXII for example, where the monsters get stronger throughout the game, FFVIII's monsters only get stronger if you level up.
However, defeating Omega Weapon (who is ALWAYS at level 100) can be excrutiatingly painful, (and satisfying if you can make it). Also, in the DSRC, the monsters are always 10+ levels higher than you (which isn't much of a challenge with the right Junctions. These are the only reasons this challenge is worth doing.
Physical attacks and limit breaks will be crucial in this challenge, and Magick and GFs are useless due to the fact that the monsters' Spirit stat skyrockets half way through the game. Also, since you cannot level up, neither can the GFs, barring Shiva's "Doom" from your ability list FOREVER.
Cards are your biggest asset in this challenge (bad memories of YuGiOh come to mind... *shudder* ) and if you can't play cards, your out of luck.
The best way to get AP is to CARD, making Quezacotl your best GF. Carding gives 0 EXP, but normal AP. Human soldiers and bosses cannot be carded, but bosses don't give EXP anyway! When facing human soldiers, it's best to use "Break" magic to finish them off.
Now that I'll done my blurb, anyone wanna try out this challenge?
