how does everyone feel about the musical scores composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Lost Odyssey Compared to The FF Series?

Ya know, I haven't even played Lost Odyssey, but I still downloaded the OST. Shame on me 
It's really an amazing soundtrack, and compared to the FF series...I think Uematsu distanced himself enough. Some of his songs in Blue Dragon had parts almost identical to songs in VII and IX, but I haven't noticed any of that in Lost Odyssey. I think he finally found a nice balance between softer tracks and more rock-oriented tracks too, he's blended them perfectly.
Oh, and the song Roar of Departed Souls = epic, and the main theme makes my ears orgasm.

I thought the same, he used the electric guitar and leigh in this OST very nicely. He used more modern instruments to create a better sound, i think it's what gave the game that epic feel to it.
