Alright, lately I've had the urge to play through FFVIII again, which is great. I put it in the ol' playstation and away I go.

My issue however is this:

I have a save file that puts me right before going to confront Edea in Deling city for the first time in Disc 1. Squall is a level 71 already and the rest range from 30-50. (Considerably lower then he is because I trained him in the training center so much alone in the beginning.)

The problem is though, that since monsters level up with Squall, him being so high is actually making it near impossible for everyone else to keep up. Even leveling them up is difficult.

Still, it's awesome being this strong so soon.

In addition to that problem though, there is another. I thought to make me feel better about the problem above, I would get Squall the Leonhart on the first disc.

This requires 12 pulse ammo-which I have. 1 adamantine-which I will get when I go the Brothers GF cave before dollet. And 4 Dragon Fangs-which I could have gotten back in Balamb from T-rexaur, but now can't get until disc 2. (Low level Grendels WOULD drop them, but since my level is so high, they only drop Dragon Fins...)

So, do I restart the game and just level up all my characters together while getting the Leonhart? Or do I just be patient, get it in the next disc and stick with my majorly leveled up characters?

Answer ASAP. :) I'll be moving forward with whatever decision by tomorrow afternoon.

Just start over I think.

If you plan on keeping everyone close to Squall's level, make you knock him out so he doesn't gain experience.

I'd probably get annoyed and want to restart, but if Id already spent so long levelling one character I'd just end up cracking on and grumbling my way through.....

Keep at it :monster:

Id restart but thats just because I don't lvl til like disc 3 to get jumbo cactuar and the str plus at lvl abilitiwes (health etc.)

But it would be more of a challange if you continued ... it be up to you
