Limits!

Had no idea about Selphie's limit breaks..

Knew she could cast Full Cure and a menu could appear and you could cast any spell but never knew about The End until a month ago..

Like Selphie, but didn't use her that much.

Because like the idea of Rinoa being in Squall's party for the Romantic content and Zell to annoy Squall :3

I think Selphie's Limit Break is OKAY...like most others here, I spend most of my time utilizing Squall/Zell Limits, and I've recently discovered the power of Irvine, as long as you have the right ammo.

Selphie does have those unique spells that can prove to be useful, especially FullCure and Wall. I know that Full-Cure pulled my ass out of the fire when I was fighting Diablos early on. :wacky:

I actually used Selphie's Limit a lot. I found it very useful, specially in your first mision in Dollet and fighting Diablos. She saved my party with Full Cure so many times XD Not to mention Meteor and other nice stuff. I liked Selphie, so I made sure I would develop her very well. It's not my favorite Limit Break and she's not my favorite female character from VIII, but I always used her and her Limit.

My favorite limit break is Quistis' blue magic shockwave pulsar or bad breath. Shockwave pulsar took really long for me to get, and always hit for over 9999.

Selphie on the other hand was really fun with her slots, and most particularly useful in the beginning of the game against bosses with fullcure and other magic. I never used The End limit because I was never lucky enough to roll for it and get it.

I never really used any of their limits...probably a mistake really, but I'm learning now. I did use Quistis's limits but that's just cos I kept finding them and wasn't entirely sure what they were

In recent Final Fantasy games besides a select few, Limit Breaks have often been the deciding differential in how powerful a character is. Selphie's only really nice Limit of choice she has is "The End" which kills everyone in the game besides undeads and the final boss.

You have things like Zell, where if you have 10+ seconds, you can dish out over 1million+ damage in one limit break turn with him. You also have characters like Squall with Renzozuken+Lionheart dishing out 150,000 hp damage, and Rinoa has an incredibly powerful Limit break as well. Taking all of these to account you can see why Selphie other then "The End" has any high quality factors.

INCLUDING the final boss, I think you'll find. :) Don't know about undead, because I don't bother with limit breaks and just keep spamming healing items and spells.

The limits of Squall are the best especially the LionHeart.... But did you know that Zell alone can kill Omega Weapon by just using his limit breaks.......

Hmmm I Didn't know that about Zell, I think I might train him up and put him in my party for when I go to fight Omega.

I always thought Squalls limit was the best, shows what I know ^_^

I hardly ever used anybody's limits. I didn't really think they were really all that powerful. I would just occasionally use Renzokuken or Rinoa's. But i hardly used anybody elses.

If I have a good set of Auras with me, I'd hit Squall with one so I could use his limit break. I always thought his was the best damage dealer, especially when he has the Lion Heart. I like Selphie's as well, but The End hardly ever shows up, and when it does, I always seem to pass it by accident.

The trick with Zell's limit breaks is the so-called "Armageddon Fist", where you alternate his two-button moves (Punch Rush/Booya/Heel Drop) at super speed and deal a lot of damage that way. Doesn't look as cool as going for one of his finishers, but does the job.

I know that I never really gave Selphie a chance. My mains were Rinoa, Quistis and Squall (Wishing Star and Lionheart FTW) I only had Quistis in there because she was one of the first people that you get and I built her and Squall up and couldn't be bothered with the rest until the end of the game. The Island Closest to Hell was the best place to train and I managed to get everyone to lvl 100 so they were all equal.. maybe I should load up the game and give Selphie a chance =D
