OK, i want to know everyone's oppinoins on the Licence grid....i liked it quite a lot.....but every now and then....it annoyed the mess out of me...really bad, and i just wanted to stop playin.

i didn't mind it although i preferred the sphere grid a lot better

I thought the license grid was toooo easy.
I liked FFX's sphere grid better, since it was more flexible.

Hahaha. The FFX was too straight-forward.

I personally loved the license grid, even though I am not sure why you need to learn how to wear a hat. @_@ It gave it more strategy in that you have to be widespread in ever category and not just focus on attaining weapons. Atop of which, it was sort of a surprise to see where everything was at. Unless you looked at a completed board. =/

I didn't like that you had to learn how to wear certain armor. I personally thought it was dumb and kind of a lame attempt at a new leveling system. o_O
Anyone could pick up any weapon if they really wanted to. o_O

O, i see ur point. yeah, i agree the hat part,,,,but when i heard of the licence grid at first....i thought it would be something were if you wore something, or treid a spell,, and u didnt have the liscence for it, They, might backfire or sumthing. But then i played the game. It was completey different, obviously.

The license board was cool but it was not the best. sure it was new and interesting but after you've learnt all the main stuff such as augments, spells etc it kinda became pretty useless, besides learning the armour/weapons license's which you do not have to learn them all anyway for each character. pesonally i prefered the sphere grid it was more of a challenge to master.

Well.lol, i guess we have all stated, recongized,etc...that the sphere grid outdid the license grid.lol.

Not everyone, Rule number one...blanket statements as a whole are a bad idea because there always is an exception to whatever is being said. (thats a joke in case anyone misses it) The main thing I didn't like about the sphere grid is that even though it does allow for any character to theoretically become whatever (s)he wants, it still limits them. For example Yuna should be played as a white mage simply because the effort to make her as good as she would be as a white mage in another category would be too much (and then it would be just as hard to make another character a white mage of the same worth). It's good because it still allows for some character customization, if I continued with the same example Yuna could focus on being a white mage but also once she got her key white mage spells branch out and get some good HP buffs or something else to keep her going.

That being said, there were some things missing in the license board as well. As someone else said before, it would have been better if when you didn't have a license and tried to use the spell/weapon/armor then it would backfire or have worse abilities or something of the sort. It would have also been good I think if each character had additional licence board squares that only they could access but for all the areas. So Vaan would have access to one spell of each category that only he had access to, that wouldn't force him in any given direction since he would have a unique spell of each type but it would also allow for some more character differentiation.

WOW.....that was so true....i like your ideas on the license grid.Awsome.

:D Thanks, I try to always at least pretend that I have something important to say even if I dont

I liked the license grid and what some of the stuff was like the HP plus 100 and how you had to use it to get a remedy to cure all of the status ailments but the thing i didn't like about was if I wanted someone to use a certain weapon and I didnt know where it was then I had to unlock other stuff and sometimes it was a waste of LP because I couldn't find it.

i thought in someways it was better than ffx, the characters weren't restricted to 1 weapon class each and the spells were quite easy to find, the quickenings are awesome!

Eh, it was alright, I thought that the sphere grid was better, but I didn't have a problem with the license grid.
