Level Grinding - To battle monsters over and over to level up

Does everybody level grind obsessively like i do? I feel as if i level grind more than i need to and i dont really get to enjoy the plot. I try to take advantage of the amount of EXP the monsters give at certain points of the game. I also try to make everyone in the team the same level exept for cloud because he always a couple of levels higher than the rest of the team. So right now im right after the Temple of The ancients on disc 1
With everybody level 59 and cloud level 66.

The only pro to my level grinding is that i can obliterate all the bosses and monsters easily haha

You don't need to be that high for the Temple of the Ancients, i always do it with my characters ranging between 35 to 40 and do fine, at level 66 i doubt you would even need to level up all that much to finish the game, the only thing you need now is better weapons and materia.

I didn't on my first play through but every time after I grind a lot in certain spots (ones that are easy to heal from, or have an inn nearby). I really only do so in the beginning because after that going through the story gives you enough exp to keep ahead of what you need, I know I've done the Temple of the Ancients at like 29 once (horrible experience). It's due to that lass boss battle that I always farm up to high levels beforehand, even if that boss isn't the hardest it's the one I hate the most.
I grind on basically all the games I play though, so eh.

I grind aa bit in prep for Materia Keeper, because it's a pain in the ***e.

I've done too much grinding on Tales of Vesperia and it's kinda ruining the game...it's too easy now :(

I do.
I particularly restart the game from the beginning when I get to the end,and see that I'm getting my ass handed to me.
When I got the temple of the acients I was above 40,I think.I spent a long time leveling up at the forest that surrounds the temple.

I enjoy a bit of grinding, on the first playthrough i did not do it though.

After the first time, i did a bit before the battle with the Demon Gate at the temple and at the Lost Number, they can be a pain in the arse.

With my last playthroughs, I tend to grind as much as I can at the beginning of the game. In my other playthroughs, I wouldn't grind as much, such as in the first part I'll level by about 3 to 5 levels before moving on so that bosses are easier, and then when I kill said boss I would grind some more with the same style.

Why when what who where

My favorite spots are in Junon, the hall with the alarm. When I get the tiny bronco I sail to the mideel Island and find the green patch. You can't go to Mideel yet but there is one patch that head hunters appear on.

I have all ways hated to grind its the worst thing about RPG's its horrible from FF1 to Pokemon(though i found a way to not hold my gameboy to Grind on pokemon)

but when the time comes you have to do it some times -__-

i do it on MMORPG's though because lets face it theres not much you can do tbh

Grinding in FFVII isn't needed. You can beat the game with an entire party at level 29. You can't have lower then that since it's boss exp and balancing which chars are dead at the end of a boss fight. Level grinding makes an already easy game a lot easier.

Emerald Weapon at level 29? Im pretty sure that is totally NOT possible.

As for level grinding, I do it all the time, i think its the point of an RPG, to train and watch your characters grow.
Can you imagine playing an FF game without grinding? I cant.

As soon as I got onto the World Map I used to grind upto Level 30 or so, Just because it seemed sensible....

I didnt have to level grind. The game was very understanding to me. I got levels when I should have, which made bosses manageable but challenging. I didn't try the weapons, so I might not have had to in the first place.

With this game yes. Because enjoyed fighting and leveling up and gaining the new limit breaks.

Think was level 46 during the end of CD one, because just liked fighting in FFVII that much.

The characters within Final Fantasy 7 are really great fighters and it fun slashing enemies with Cloud, boxing and performing judo moves with Tifa, healing others with Aeris and changing into a huge and gigantic monster beast with Vincent.

Not to mention the limit breaks are really good in this game and is worth fighting all those enemies for, including Clouds who had really amazing limit breaks like Meteorain.

Level grinding was great fun in Final Fantasy 7 !

I didn't whilst I played through FF7 but once i got down to the bottom of the crater so I had everything the game was gonna give me I went and got all 3 characters to 99 in order to fight the weapons without too many problems.

I had lightning 3 before I even fough Rufus Shinra on the roof of the Shinra Building. And I beat him in one hit. I'm obsessed with grinding. I always have to be much stronger than all the enemies. I do this with all my RPG games.

I haven't done this before. I mean I'd level up some, but not obsessively and get ahead more than 4 levels then I was supposed to be.

I'm considering doing this the next time I'm gonna replay it though. :wacky:

Hmm... Now to finish XII first. :D

I love grinding every now and then but to grind so obsessivly as to be at that level I think you need to cool down abit I beat sephiroth before now at a lower level than that, you need to chillout and you'll probz find the game more of a challenge and maybe even enjoy it more.

I never grind til the end of the game when I'm training for the optional bosses. Grinding is boring and takes the fun out of regular battles. I'd rather just work my way through at my own pace and save grinding til later. You can beat the game at waaay less than in the 60's so there's no way I'd want to be that level that early in the game, I'd end up bored tears

Each to their own I guess :monster:

Depends usually yes though i just enjoy it makes the games easier and makes the side quests more enjoyable .

Mod Edit: Please put a bit more effort into your posts in the future. This is a post-count section. Thanks. :)
