Hey all, there's a new let's play incoming!

Super Mario Sunshine
​

This is for the Gamecube only and is one of the more marmite-y Mario games out there. Some people love FLUD...but some people hate him. Of course it's made by Nintendo and is a 3D platformer, but there are a few new mechanics introduced that are unique to Sunshine.

Shine 1 - Delfino Airstrip

Hey all, here comes the start of a very different let's play! A shine an episode is incoming, but I thought I'd start the series off with an average length episode, just to get us into the swing of things a bit.

This episode introduces us to Flud, a few other main characters, the main plotline of the game and of course: Isle Delfino itself!

Starting the game with a mini-boss is a great idea so I hope you enjoy! The voice acting is pretty...special too ha!

Bianco Hills is a pretty traditional Mario first world: grass, sunshine and easiness (for now at least!).

So shine 3 is in Bianco Hills also, but it's tougher to get! We have our first proper boss coming up, which isn't too bad...but it used to give me trouble as a kid :(.

I'm liking this shine, so I hope you do too! Mainly because we get to see inside the windmill :D.

This new world (Ricco Harbor) is like a giant dock (I said dock!). If you played Banjo Kazooie, then you'll probably compare it to Rusty Bucket Bay. Ricco Harbor is much easier and (imo) better though.

Another easy enough shine. Don't worry folks...they get harder :/

Hey all, this shine is more of a mini-game. Racing along on mini bloopers is so fun! A wee bit stressful though...and it's the first shine to be out of the sunlight for the most part.

Shine 6 - The Caged Shine Sprite

Hey all, here comes the toughest shine to date. It's also the first proper platform-heavy shine that we've gone for, which is a nice change of pace. However, look out for the awkward camera, 'cause it certainly doesn't help matters!

Shine 7 - Dune Bud Sand Castle Secret

Here comes the start of our 3rd world: Gelato Beach! This is the beach area of the game, where it's incredibly sunny and full of...ducks?

Anyways, I love this shine! The secret shines all have the most awesome music and leave you Fludless, so you need to use even more skill, rather than relying on the hover nozzle for your platforming. It really reminds me of Mario Galaxy too.

Hey all, here comes a pretty straightforward shine, but it's also one of the more interesting ones. The beach seems to be home to a bird egg that everyone loves! Sooo the giant caterpillar threatening its life is certainly not welcome!

Ok so it's time for another boss! This time it's the boss of Gelato Beach, which is the great Wiggler that turned into sand during the mirror shine...but now it's back to life and attacking everyone! The only way to beat it seems to be to make sand turds! :s

Hey all, here comes one of my least favourite shines...mainly because it's so damn hard! It doesn't take long to reach the sand bird, who seems to have finally hatched, but once you make it there, it's one of the most frustrating shines around. See how I get on and what a stressed out greeny is like...

Hey there everyone! Here comes a story-based shine that will introduce us to yet another reason to clean up the island: Peach has been kidnapped! Who by? Someone in the video ;).

We've also opened up a brand new world by the name of Pinna Park! I love theme parks so much! This boss is tough though...mainly because we're on the roller coaster and can't stop at all.

Hey all, I think we can call this one a bit of a write-off :/. I tried to record it 5 times, but each time I mucked it up a whole lot. I mean, we still complete it, but just have a look see what I mean.

Hey all, here comes another shine just outside of Pinna Park! The wilted sunflowers need to be revived by...bashing yoshi-egg turtles? Not one of the more normal shines, but I quite like it. It's a nice break after that last pirate ship one :'(.

Shine 15 - The Manta Storm

Hey all, here comes the start of another world: Sirena Beach! This place is stunning and reminds me a lot of a honeymoon location. Loving the dusky oranges!

The boss of this place is one that can take a little while but only because it keeps splitting and splitting and splitting. Just hit it/them with water and you're done :D.

Shines 16+17 - The Hotel Lobby's Secret

Hey all, this episode brings you two shines! This is only because the first shine is a simple blue coin trade and takes all of two seconds ha.

As for shine 17, we head back to Sirena Beach and check out the haunted hotel! The secret to this shine is to spray the pink boos and turn them into platforms. As for the actual secret level...it's a tough one!

Hey there folks, it's time for us to check out the hotel pool/spa, but how do we get in there? With the help of a yoshi of course! This one is full of riddles and secret passageways, which is what makes me love this shine, even if it is a bit tricky!

Shine 19 - The Secret of Casino Delfino

This time around, we check out the casino, which doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it...until we start playing the games! It's pretty tricky to time your water shots, but once you finish the games, you get that amazing sense of relief that only the best games can provide ;). The secret isn't exactly easy either, but there are tougher ones out there.

You lot have filthy minds...I'm sure Nintendo didn't think of that when naming this shine :s. You'll notice that this is another casino shine, but it's much less irritating. You'll also probably notice that I cut a chunk of the boss out...that's just the time it took me to figure it all out. There was nothing interesting going on, I assure you :D.
