Laughing like crazy???

Its weird how when the return to the group everything just goes back to normal as if they hadn't done anything. i also found it strange how a normally quiet and timid Yuna becomes so loud. They sounded like sea gulls being sick
 
I did cringe when hearing this part. When I play through it, I leave when it's that time. haha.

The japanese version is sooo much worse, IMO. It's just bad all around.

I actually totally agree with you. I can understand why Yuna had him laugh and they did the laughing scene. It doesn't ruin the game, it's just a small scene where they fake laugh. All she's trying to do is cheer Tidus up. Watch the Japanese version. It's actually worse. At least Tidus doesn't sound like a fucking seal when he's trying to laugh in the English version. Truly, I don't have a problem with Tidus's voice. He sounds like your average, typical, emotional 17 year old kid. The thing that really gets is people say "Tidus is whiny! Tidus is a crybaby! Tidus is emotional!" Let me ask you this; just how in the bloody hell would you feel if you were ripped out of your home away from everything dear and familiar and tossed into a world completely unlike your own where you knew nobody, had nowhere to go and had to rely on help from strangers? Yeah, I think Tidus handled himself pretty well.

So IMO, I honestly see nothing wrong with the laughing scene. In fact, I actually find it a really sweet moment between Tidus and Yuna. She made him laugh because he was hurting. It just shows the very beginnings of their relationship is all.
 
Now that I think more about this scene, it WAS fake laughing. I think Yuna might have joined in on Tidus' laughter so that he could actually laugh for real. It worked evidently, because they both started laughing normally. Yeah, I think that was it...
 
Yes, it was fake laughter. Yuna only joined him so she could make him laugh. Yuna said herself that she tries to practice smiling when she was feeling sad. She was trying to make him feel better if anything by making him laugh. ^_^
 
I think the scene would have worked so much better if she genuinly made him laugh. Maybe by trying her hardest by trying to be funny but ends up just being silly. Tidus might have laughed then because she thought she was cute. Something cheesy like that instead of the annoying fake laughing scene.
 
Well, he did end up genuinely laughing there at the very end of the scene, right before he looks up at the rest of gang and says "What are you lookin' at?" Ah well, I still didn't see any harm in it, truly.

Cause da way he laughed.. its just dat i have like never heard any 1 laugh like dat lol!
 
If it was in an old FF it wouldn't have been so bad, since there weren't any sound, just txt boxes. That's what made it so bad. better actor perhaps?

Imagine FF VII with actual laughter all the way through with heidegger and scarlet. but its quite cool as a txt box.
 
A lot of people say they were annoyed of that laughing scene. I didn't see anything bad in it. Well maybe it was a little weird but imagine yourself trying to laugh when you want to cry.
Try to understnad how Tidus feels
