Definitely some talent there. How are you at drawing hands, and legs, and full arms , and eyes?

Didn't you draw him after the original picture if I'm not wrong? But it's a good one.

Yeah, I don't trace, but I can't draw originals, either. I just draw what I see and like, and I figure that'll help me to someday be able to do my own original works. Don't worry, I don't claim it as original. ^_^

Korytco - Arms and legs I'm decent-ish at, hands I completely suck at, and I'm pretty okay at eyes. I suck at feet and shoes, too. I never can get the right perspective on them, even if I'm drawing something that's laid out in front of me.

Practice, practice, practice, and I never seem to get any better at some things. >.<

Thanks for the comments!

No I never said you did something wrong. As you said practice makes perfect and practice isn't bad.Well I'd also suggest you that you start drawing your own ones at the same time. It'll help you a lot as you'll be able to compare them and find the mistakes in your own one and correct them.

I do try drawing my own occasionally, but they end up wadded up and in the trash can. =P I've definetly improved since I first started practicing, though. Usually when I try to draw my own stuff, I try to draw just one section of something and perfect it.

It doesn't help that my husband is a wonderful artist, either. He can draw nearly anything, and make it look lifelike. It frustrates me! I've tried to get him to teach me some stuff, but he always tells me I need to find my own technique. I guess he's right.

You could always try a new method of measuring , drawing can be easy but if you are like me drawing accurately takes measurements and method, not just skill. There for you could try forever to get better but without method you may never get a better drawing. I measure based on other body parts. Such as the distance from the bro to the bottom of the nose is equal to the distance of whatever.
