Hey there!

I was going through some of my old files on the computer and I came across a drawing of Paine I started years ago and totally forgot about. =0

The original piece is lost somewhere amongst my filing cabinets and such now and I really hope I find it because I want to finish it!

I uploaded it to Deviantart once I think just to show my mate what I'd done so far.

I was actually alright with drawing at one stage. >_<

Constructive Criticism is most welcome!

The detail on her upper body is great, but something about the face feels off. I don't feel like the lips, chin and nose align quite properly or something. The eyes also feel slightly awkward, like the right one is a little lower than the left one, so you'll want to use guidelines to make sure you align the eyes properly. Also watch the tip of the nose and the cheekbone. It seems as though the cheekbone on the left side is a little higher up than the tip of the nose, if that makes sense. Usually the tip of the nose and cheekbone match up.

Her left arm also feels a little thin and short. It could stand to be just a tad longer and a tad thicker. People can be so hard to draw because of porportions, so I highly suggest to use guidelines as they'll help you along the way to get your proportions right! You can find some amazing people tutorials and how to draw proportionately properly online. It's awesome! Or you could always buy a How to Draw Human Anatomy book. That's how I got started! ;)) Keep up the good work! You've got potential here!

Wow great work Kandy it certainly is better than somethin I would draw lol. The face looks ok but it can be better. The rest of it is all good. Hey you should make a fan art of the YRP!!! That would be cool. The way you did her body was great. Kandy good work.

Hey thanks guys!

Yuna: Yeah I wasn't too fond of the face either. I think I kind of rushed it and always meant to go back to it. But alas I cannot find the original drawing and considering I just moved it'll be a while until I find it. >_< Thanks for the tips and nice comments. =D

MLFY: Hey thanks! I appreciate the feedback. If I ever do get around to doing YRP I'll let ya know. =P I have so many unfinished projects: fanfiction, videos, and now drawings that I don't know where to start. >_< Lol.

Thanks again guys! =D

Perhaps I can help you, Kandy. ^_^ The alignment of the face is slightly off .

Here I found this on DA (was too lazy to open paint XD)

Yeah it's a man. But we're only interested in the face here. What is important about the face is a strong jaw and good lines. The face follows the lines.

In other words, You need to set Paine's chin over towards the left more and get a firmer jaw structure. Then move her nose a bit in order to have it along the central line.. Make sure the eyes are along the horizontal line and have the lips fall below the nose. If you follow the lines it'll give a better structure to the face than just eyeballing it.

Hope that helped and I look forward to seeing the finished product. I bet it'll be great. ^_^
