Who thinks Kadaj is a God? I sure do. He was the best of the SHM and I love the way he moves! Though, he's still just a tool... how sad.

But I really love everything about him.

STAFF NOTES
Sephiroth was an incredibly powerful rival for Cloud in the game. We needed a villain just as powerful for this film, but maybe even more so given the short amount of time. That's why we made Kadaj so evil, in addition to being insane. (Nomura) Once the battle pertaining to Jenova was added to the storyline, all the scenes involving Kadaj increased in volume. (Nojima)

These characters are doing the bidding of Sephiroth. Kadaj and his gang are in search of "Mother", but little do they realize that they are driven by Sephiroth's desire. (Nojima)

Each of these three men represent an aspect of Sephiroth's character. Loz has his outer masculinity, Yazoo has an alluring appeal, and Kadaj portrays Sephiroth's cruel side. (Nomura)

None of these characters were given an actual age - each of them can only really be judged by how old they look. (Nojima) Only Kadaj is in his teens. If we made all three of them teenagers, the scenes with the children would only look like a few teenage bullies picking on younger kids, which is the last thing we wanted (laughs). I made their leader (Kadaj) the youngest of the three to conjure up some sort of psychological terror - as if he's this unstoppable child in a sense. (Nomura) I think part of the reason we decided to have Kadaj's base in the Forgotten City is because it's the one place that Cloud avoids. But at the same time, perhaps he's drawn to it. There's a sort of a hidden meaning to it, with the maternal essence of Aeristh that lingers there. (Nomura)

The flashback scene showing a conversation between Rufus and Kadaj was originally intended to be included in the Special Edition as a deleted scene, but I wanted to use it to fill in the audience on Kadaj's intentions. It was decided that there was no way we could include that portion of the story within the development schedule, but I insisted that it had to be included, so we managed to squueze it in. (Nomura) The conversation in the film with the lines: "I've got a question for you," and "I've got an answer," was inspired by a TV show called "Nash Bridges," and other daytime dramas from overseas that I was watching at the time (laughs). I thought that was a cool sort of conversation, so I wanted to fit a similar one into this film. (Nojima)

STAFF NOTES
The original script didn't have the scene where Kadaj dissappears and Aeristh's presence is felt, but I thought they really needed to be saved from their tragic existence. I wanted to include a scene that strongly suggests they were saved in the end, so I asked Mr. Nojima to beef up the script in that area. In the commentary he says that he shudders at the thought of that scene not being in the film, and I completely agree with that. I'm glad I made an effort to get that part of the story in the film. It actually gave Nozue a headache in regards to the schedule, but even he said we'd be better off in the long run if the scene was included. I'm glad we were able to see eye to eye on that. (Nomura)

Yeah, I'm a total Kadaj fan-boy & I'm not even ashamed. :P

Interestingly enough: isn't it fitting that cruelty be embodied by a child? Think about it. Children are ridiculously cruel to each other.

Lol. I think Yazoo was a bit hotter.
Which one was the oldest btw?

Even though they're bent on world domination...still hot. XD

Kadaj...

I suppose he's a decent character. Can't say I loved him, but I find it hard to outright bash him.

I hated the part in the movie when he screamed after realizing that "Mother" had spilled everywhere. Annoying as hell...

Kadaj is okay. He has some nice fighting styles! He's a little creepy though, I kind of get a Chucky feeling about him... 0.0 But his sword is really cool! Ever take a close look at it? It has two blades. It's all pretty-like.

But;
I'm more of a Yazoo fan. Long hair...quiet...handsome...has an awesome gun...

Loz was too whiny. But I did love the part with Reno, Rude, and Yazoo and Loz.
"Hey! I won't have you talk about Mother that way!"
"Yeah, you meanie!"
