I'm now finally done making all the final weapons in FF8, but I have trouble finding those 3 Star Fragments for Selphie's weapon. I'm supposed to defeat/mug an Iron Giant, but I've been walking in Esthar and the Deep Sea Research Center for hours, and met none. Do I have to look in a specific place in those areas?

You can encounter Iron giants at tears point, they appear quite regular in there, also, refining 3 iron giant cards will also get you the item, as said above
