Just started playing FFVII

I took the long way for the sole reason of comedy. Face it, it's funny as hell going up the stairs.
And I know what's going to happen but I always end up going up the stairs, I have always done it that way and I have always gotten the Don to pick me, it's just funny xD

Bad deal, you got stitched. Should of bought a couple of the cheapest Greens. Think they last longer on Chocobos aswell actually.

As for the stair case in the Shinra Building, I never go up it the first time around. I go through the front for the extra EXP from the battles and the Turtles Paradise flyer etc...
Much much MUCH later on in the game when you are able to go back to the Shinra Building you can take the stairs again to find a Behemoth Horn (weapon for RedXIII though not paticulary good).

Damn i got conned. Im sort of short on gil right now so im out just killing random fiends and gaining items and gil for it. And i need to raise Aeris

And now for the update (my updates deserve a seperate post dont you think?).

Story progression: Not much story since my last update but there was progression. Anyway after deciding to help out those weird treehouse folks i spent all my money on supplies and went upstairs only to be told i needed to give them 4000 gil or something, i thought "fuck that" and left. Then i went to a little village place near the sea. Then at the beach there i met a little girl who got attacked my a giant sea monstor and we had to save her. Pretty fun fight, we won first time of course (only ever died once in this game and it was because i forgot to equip materia). So yeah then i had to play this random mouth-to-mouth minigame so she could breath. Then the next day i took a ride on a dolphin (?) to some sort of shinra base. I had to dress up like someone from shrina and barely made it through the parade but anyway soon that was all over and im going to skip to the part where sephiroth comes again. So yeah, he came again, and then we had to fight this really hard monstor. So we killed and we ended up on some kind of tropical city where i saved and went to sleep because once again, it was 3 in the morning

My thoughts: Wow that fight with the sephiroth monstor was epic! I cant belive i won first time! It ended up killing tifa and barret was on such low health. Good thing it was slow because after it attacks leaving me on low health i have enough time for (cloud-cure barret-cure cloud-fire barret-fire) and limit breaks would come into that occasionaly. Tropical city is pretty cool.

Im really liking all the characters i cant wait to see what happens to them all as the story progresses. I cant decide if i like tifa or aeris better? Maybe aeris a little better but tifa still rules!

That Sepphiroth monster is Jenova Birth or whatever, you will come across afew others, I love the Jenova fights, the music is epic

Also, ball ache as it may have been, you could have trekked all the way back down those stairs and gone in the front way

I hate that stupid mouth to mouth mini game, it always takes me ages to nail it for some reason and I can feel my blood pressure rising until I'm screming LET THE LITTLE BITCH DIE at the tv

Do you have any idea of the plot of the game.....? I hope you don't, I think it would have taken some of the enjoyment away if I had any idea what was going on when I first played it. I didnt realise there was a whole world outside of the reactors in Midgar

The only thing i know about the game storyline is what has happened so far. Cant wait to see what suprises come next

The melancholy of Barret Wallace

Story progression: Entered a random cave which lead to a village that was destoryed and there all blaming it on barret. Then i get treated to a flashback of how it happened which was pretty random and annoying. Anyway then i went to the golden saucer and waster 6000 gil on the entrance fee + all the games that i lost anyway and in the end still ended up with 0 GP. Also i met some weird cat on a moogle who called himself cait sith and he joined my party. After that i stormed into the battle section hoping to blow off some steam only to find a room full of dead people... which we got blamed for
We got sent to this prison where we found barret (who had stormed of in a rage earlier) and i got shown yet another flash back of some guy that died which is strange because it had absolutley nothing to do with what he was talking about. He was talking about someone who also had a gun on there arm but barret never saw him. Then i saved.

My thoughs: I HATE TEH GOLDAN SAWSERRRRRR!!! I cant belive i blew 6000 gil and got 0 GP!! Cait sith had a kind of random entrance. So the game seems to be taking focus on barret for a while now, wondering how thats going to turn out. Me want more aeris!! Yeah not much to think about for now but i will keep you updated

Red revelations

Story progerssion: In the little prison thing we found barrets little friend who then tried to kill barret and we start a one-on-one battle. This is where i punch myself for not giving barret any materia. So yeah i died for the first time in the game because of a stupid mistake, but then eventually i defeated him and he just randomly decided to jump of a cliff. Which was... pretty... weird. So yeah, then i had to do a chocobo race which was the most retarded thing i have ever seen in my entire life. Dont really remember anything about it because i think i was just too much in shock the entire time. Then we left and i travelled through the forest where i got attacked by some camper boy or something. We beat him and then he stole some money of tifa which was so totally mean.
Because i dont want this to be too long im going to simplify the next bit. Came to red's home town, met red's granpa, got told red's background, was treated to a lovely display of how the world is going to be destoryed eventually, had a huge battle with a monstor thing, found red's dad/statue, saved.

My thoughts: Okay so now its gone from barret to red? Yes i know he is supposed to be called Red XIII but i changed it to just Red because i like that better and its not too diffrent. Everyone else keeps there original names of course. Random camper boy was random, i very much liked Red's little arc and i think i like the charecter alot better now. I loved the statue of his dad it looked so cool and yet so emotional when it started crying and everything, and then when Red realised his dad was crying the screen blacked out slowly and leaves the rest to your imaginations. I really like that kind of thing *entire forum gasps* yes people i have a heart Im wondering who's the next to get there chance to shine, i hope tifa or aeris but for some reason im thinking its going to be cait sith which i dont really know well so i cant judge that charecter yet.

That camper boy is actually a girl called Yuffie.

I don't think it would hurt to tell you that you can actually add Yuffie to your party, if you say the right things to her after defeating her. You can find her again in any forest in the world, apparently.

One thing I liked at this point was the way that the car conveniently breaks down outside Cosmo Canyon, forcing you to go there.

Question: Does yuffi just apear in any random forest? I have tried looking for her...

Story Progression: Couldnt find yuufi so i travelled to the nearest village. It turned out to be cloud's home town from the flashback but when i went there everyone just pretended not to remember anything about the fire. So yeah that was a bit weird, also there were people i black capes dotted around, i got some random items of them. Then i went into sephiroths mansion and met him but he ran away and then i followed him into the mountains. I had about 45 minutes of just training there so now Aeris, Tifa and cloud are really high leveled. And everyone else has fell behind =/ So anyway i had a big boss fight with a spider like thing and then i saved.

My thoughts: Looking for yuffi was a pain in the ass. Im kind of sick of meeting sephiroth, he's cool and everything but he dosent have to show up everywhere i go! Nothing else to say...

Yes it does! Dio gives you a car that can cross shallow rivers after the Gold Saucer section, but it breaks down just outside Cosmo Canyon.

I have already explained where i am, the mountains in cloud's home town. And thanks i didnt know they level up at the same time. Thats a relief

Story progression: Pokeball, GO! yay i caught a yuufi. Yeah i respelled her name because i like that better In any case, i met another new charecter named Cid and got treated to YET ANOTHER flashback! Didnt take long for him to join the party and now im traveling around looking for some kind of temple...

My thoughts: Yuufi still looks like a boy. But anyway i guess its pretty cool that i got 2 new people now, still nothing much to talk about...
