Jenova and Sephiroth

Technically speaking, it was Jenova that was talking to cloud.
Jenova has the powers to mimic memories...and accoarding to the fact that Sephy uses her powers to fly and enter people's minds, it's easy to assume that she's a being of incredible telepathic/telekentic capabilities.
It was Sephiroth, using Jenova's powers to enter cloud's head.
 
Wow really good posts......one VIII I'm at the part where Jenove escapes and kills all the shinra guys.......but your theories are really indept and long....So I can't really say much
 
Think about it.
Jenova isn't running around of her own free will. I support this theory with the fact that her head is lopped off. :)

Well DM was one of the only people I've come across who also agrees that Jenova is the puppet.

erm........well, you could look at it that way, but there's a little flaw. Jenova is dead, completley incapable of doing anything (as dead people usually tend to do, but there have been contradictions. *cough*AERIS*cough*)

But Sephiroth, who's IN the lifestream and has access to those memories, is using the ability of the speices to controll every cell, to controll Jenova's dead body. And since Sephiroth is part Jenova, he has some of these abilities himself, though not to a full extent.

So, basically, when you see Sephiroth and when he speaks to the characters, it really isn't him. It's Jenova's dead body that he's controlling. He made it take his shape and is speaking through it. So, technically, it was Sephiroth, not Jenova, that was speaking. Sephiroth's mind/words from Jenova's body.

Noooo, I'm not saying it in that tense...
I mean technically speaking...it is Jenova's "presence, or her being" that is giving Sephiroth the power to talk to Cloud via telepathic abilities.
Me and you, we have the exact same view point on this matter...I just said it the wrong way. :)

Yeah, I was just thinking toward the beginning of this thread that the "vogue" or "in style" theory as of late is that Sephiroth is Jenova's puppet, thus making Jenova the main villain of this game, not Sephiroth. I was just discussing this with a couple of friends over dinner a couple of months ago. *nerds*

I agree with you guys, though, because it makes more sense.

Im Sorry To Say This, But YOU! Are Wrong! Cloud DOES Get Controlled By Sephiroth In One Way Or Another, Sephiroth Made Cloud Follow Him Throughout The Game, And He Gives Sephiorth The Black Materia And Also Makes Him Attack Some Of His Friends! (Tifa i Think)
 
Right. Sephiroth has control over Cloud to a certain extent. Cloud is drawn towards Sephiroth through the power of Jenova's cells. But I'm merely indicating that cloud's confusion in regards to his mis-matched personality makes it difficult for Sephiroth to manipulate him.
