Hello, i was wonderin if the japenese versions of final fantasy are regarded as being better as the japenese songs from the games seem to be more popular? Either way, still guuuuud games! Cheerz

I'm not exactly sure what's being asked...Are the FFs more popular in Japan because the Japanese versions of the songs are popular?

Anyways, I pretty much always prefer the Japanese language songs to the English versions because, well, that's how they're supposed to sound most of the time and it's better when they sing in their natural or more comfortable language...>_>

Where did you ever hear that the Japanese songs are more popular?

I thought even the tranlasted English versions weren't all that bad either.. And some were famous for their time (Eyes On Me, example?)

I wouldn't say that the games are better because the English version is just translated from the Japanese version, however, I would definitely say the Japanese songs are better because apart from that it naturally feels right and sounds better listening to the songs in Japanese, the Japanese language sounds better anyway.

the Japanese language sounds better anyway.
Meehhh. Japanese is a decent-sounding language when spoken, but I've always thought that when sung it sounds... awful.

Anyway, I've never owned a Japanese Final Fantasy alternative. I thought about importing Final Fantasy X, but then realized how much I hated the voice casting. Yuna sounded like a duck whenever she laughed.

Plus, I ordered a subtitled version of an anime I used to watch when I was a kid, and about an hour later all my thoughts were in high-pitched Japanese. Can't imagine enduring that crap for 30+ hours of gameplay.
