It seems that most anime fans tend to lean over Japanese snacks. As for myself, I got into eating Japanese snacks now after being a fan of anime for a while.

So...what Japanese snacks/drinks have you guys ever eaten? I've had a few different flavors of Pocky such as strawberry, chocolate, almond and cookie crush. I've also had a Japanese soft drink called Ramune. You have to push on the marble to open the top. It's a funny looking bottle. I had random snacks I brought that were made from Meiji.

As for non snack things I've had miso soup and onigiri (rice ball).

I remember my sister got me some japanese snacks from when she went to japan. I don't remember the names, but one was an orange flavored type of hard candy and the other was this small pack of four different flavored chocolate candies. When she gave me the chocolate candies, they were all melted and mixed together. I ate it and it was still pretty good. One had a coffee flavor, i think.

-I've always wanted to try some pocky

-other than some snacks, she also gave me some packets to make some seaweed soup that was pretty good.

Can't say I've ever had one of their snacks before, though I plan on trying all of it when I get over there in a year or sooner.

I've had japanese dishs though. Like Sukiyaki, Miso soup, and sushi of course

I've had some shushi as well.

Oh I forgot to mention I had Bubble tea (Or Boba tea) a few times. It's not exactly popular in Japan but it's popular all over Asia. It's kinda of a milk tea with tapioca balls at the bottom.

Lucky for me, I live in a multicultural area. I have tried some Japanese food that some of my family/friends wouldn't touch^_^. One of my favorites is some kind of cracker(I forget what its called) that smells like a fish or sea food, one of my sisters(she's dead now:sad:) use to hate it when I would eat them, she didn't even want to be over at my house if I had some.

I love Pocky, mainly chocolate flavour. I love being from Manchester as ChinaTown is amazing. I was taken into a chinese bakery and had a crispy pork pastry and oh man I was in heaven! Also some sweet sticky buns and sweet savoury cookies! So cheap also and Im always getting the anime phonecharms outside the local supermarket!

Well, not really a snack, but I do eat ramen once in a while...
Other than that, it's those rice balls, they're pretty darn sweet (not literally sweet, but you get what I mean).

And Meiji, oh yes, I love everything meiji comes out with, in fact, I'm eating some right now. :D

I looooove Sushi <3 I actually found a place around here that actually makes their own sushi, and it's actually the right way.....actual good sushi xDD AND I LOVE IT. I still haven't tried the eel sushi though...it still freaks me out xo But the salmon and tuna ones are good. And I still love good ol' California rolls :P

Pocky's awesome. Probably my fave Japanese snack. The best flavors are chocolate almond and strawberry crunch, they even smell fantastic <3

I had these little Koala cookie things though too, which were delicious ^o^

Are you kidding me? Eel sushi is awesome. It's has sweet sauce on it. It doesn't taste gross at all.

Hrmm that reminds me...I miss those Japanese lunch box specials at restaurant near me. Come with Miso soup!

Anyone here ever tired red bean/green tea flavor stuff? It's kinda gross but the Japanese love red bean, there is even ice cream of it. I know in the rice balls I've tired they had red bean paste inside. It's sweet.
