I don't remember the specifics of it right now, but I found a lot of evidence in FFX & X-2 that points to the Fayth of Bahamut (the little hooded boy) being Tidus.

Like I said, I don't really remember all the evidence right now because it's been years since I've played X-2, and thats where I found the most evidence. But I know this theory to be sound.

One of the reasons is, the fact that Tidus saw him through out his life in Zanarkand. He was also basicly the guide for Yuna. The little kid version of Tidus sounds identical to Bahamut. In X-2,
he is the one that presents Yuna to Tidus on the Farplane at the end of the game
, leading me to believe that there is a big connection between Tidus & Bahamut.

Your thoughts............

I don't know about that as far as I know Tidus is just a being made up by the Fayth...I don't think he is one.

Yea, I can't say that makes a lot of sense to me either. The fayth of bahamut was a real person once that sacrificed himself to keep Zanarkand alive in a dream. If you're suggesting that that real person was someone named Tidus and he dreampt of himself to keep himself alive in Dream Zanarkand than I can say bravo to your imagination... but I just don't see anything suggesting it. I just don't think you can argue your case.

I mean, they either just made up Jecht and Tidus... or they simply picked famous athletes at the time that they thought could handle the job. Jecht failed. Tidus succeeded. But it goes against your point that they picked Jecht first.

Also, the Fayth of Bahamut and Young Tidus were voiced by different people. The Fayth was done by [SIZE=-1]Debi Derryberry and Young Tidus was done by Cree Summer. Had to look that one up...

Believe me a couple of years ago I could've argued my point. But I honestly forgot a lot of the points that lead me to this idea. I didn't just imagine this, but you're right Aztec, I can't argue my point, I've forgotten most of it. I was just hoping that somebody else out there caught this too.

Yeah it seems very unlikely because later in the game you hear straight out of the mouth of the Fayth of who he really is:

Tidus: "Wait... this is a dream."

Fayth: "Precisely."

Tidus: "A dream? Are you crazy? I don't have time to be dreaming now!"

Fayth: "You're wrong. It's not that you're dreaming. You are a dream."

Then...:

Fayth: "Yes, you're a dream of the fayth. You, your father, your mother, everyone. All dreams. And if the fayth stop dreaming..."

Tidus: "No! So what if I'm a dream! I... I like being here."

Fayth: "We've been dreaming so long... we're tired. Would you and your father... Would you let us rest?"

The Bahamut fayth is bascially a chosen representative of all the other fayth who make it known to Tidus what the purpose in "His" story is, which is to bring the sprial of death to and end in Spira (the spiral death meaning the attacks of Sin continually on a 10 year basis). The Bahamut fayth guides him right from the start before the opening FMV up to the very end of the game.

Acht, you just stole my rant.

The Fayth that appears before Tidus just represents the rest of the Fayth who are dreaming and causing Tidus to live on. Anything I say really is repeating BustaMo here, so I wont bother ...

When sin came to Zanarkand to collect Tidus the little boy (aka fayth of Bahamut - which I DO think is the singular Fayth of this aeon because he has on the back of his purple top asymbol/picture of the ring Bahamut had on his back) appeared.
Due to Yu Yevon "junctioning" himself to Aeons (Fayth) this would mean the fayth would be able to project to Tidus in that time?
That's one theory lol.

I'm having issues with believing Tidus is a dream of the Fayth though, I have just completed the game again,
and at the end after all the credits Tidus is shown alive (and seems shocked to be!) If the Fayth have gone then the dreams of the Fayth cannot exist, so for him to be there makes you think that they haven't

But the Fayth of Zanarkand are the people of Zanarkand that died 1000 years ago (aka Tidus' time) ....

Im very confused by it all now, just when I thought I had gotten the jist of things it all decided to get complicated.
