Is this a PS3 ONLY game?

Final Fantasy is most popular in Japan. It would not make any sense for it to come out on the 360. maybe Wii but it would take some major downgrades.
 
I very much doubt that. In fact, NO, it won't. It's a game that has been built from the ground up for PS3 and for that reason alone PS2 is out of the question. Whatever is achieved in FF XIII and Versus will never be achievable on the PS2.

i wonder why cant it be a multi platform game any way at start they were goning to develop it on ps2 but changed it
 
cant i just do somthing to my ps2 instead of buying a ps3 and one more thing i wont buy a ps3 just for this game

as for the Wii guy, i doubt it, as far as i know the only FF released on a nintendo was crystal chronicles, and it didn't come out on the PS either, i think they simply aim for the console with the best graphics, the PS...
 
well we are sure its going to come out on PS3
but i heard you can play some games of PS3 on PS2
well i know that cant happen but just keeping my hopes up
 
In designing FFXIII Square Enix comissioned the development of what has come to be known as the White Engine, which uses 4 of the PS3's 8 synergistic 3.2ghz processors to achieve nearly cg quality realtime graphics. The remaining cores deal with the rest of the game.

The XBox 360 has three 3.2ghz cores, and the Wii.... well.

It seems to me that it would be incredibly difficult to port this game across without a lot of work... and sacrificing quality.

Whoa trust me i know that Final Fantasy will not end up being on the 360 cause think about this if the Final Fantasy would have to be around 4gigs and if FFX!!! was to be on both 360 and Ps3 it would most likely mean that it would look like final fantasy x all over again and not to say but the 360 has the same grafics from the first xbox.So if microsoft wanted FFX!!! on there system they would have to pay them money to make a wacker version on the 360 cause it looks like Square Enix is not a trader like Capcom and besides anyone tell me that i am wrong that the PS3 is better than the 360(Exclude the price on both)like with the 360 coming up with there release of Halo 3 which still looks the same as the past Halos so plz if anyone is planning to get a 360 instead just pay $600 dollars like a did for a better system like the PS3.

Well u r right cause most of the PS3 games are in Blu-ray discs and the ones for the ps2 are DVD-ROM or CD-ROM but u can play some ps2 games on the ps3 and if u have a ps3 i recommend u getting a Linux for it.
