Hi:
I entered a Nintendo Power Magazine contest in 1990. It featured the original Final Fantasy RPG. I won one of the 50 second-place prizes. It was a solid crystal orb, roughly the size of a baseball. On the flat bottom is etched the FF logo, plus the words Final Fantasy under the logo. When the orb is viewed, you can see the logo through it.
I still have the orb, all the original packaging, and the magazine which featured the contest.
What I'm wondering is, considering the continued interest in FF, is this a desirable collector's item? Only 50 orbs were made and distributed worldwide, plus Nintendo Power said the mold was broken afterwards.
What would be the best way to let FF enthusiasts know about this item? And how can I learn what its value is?
I have Googled for many hours and haven't found anything helpful.
Most people advise putting it up on ebay but I doubt that's the wisest course of action.
Thanks
PS The Nintendo Power Magazine that featured the contest was Volume 16, 1990.
