Is Lighting a good lead character?

They say that she is a female cloud,so if you think cloud is a good lead, maybe she will too.But i hope she at least brings something new to the table. If she can do this, then i believe she will be a good lead

It's too early to tell for me, I thought Ashe, Balthier or Vaan would be good protagonists, which was not the case.

I'll just wait for the game. Play it to the end and make my review afterwards.

Well, Mr. Nomura was asked to design a female version of Cloud, so it's not surprising that there's a resemblence.

So far, Lightning seems to make an excellent lead character. I've never come across a female FF lead with her personality, so that's already a plus for me. I know not much has been revealed about her yet, but 'different' is the word I would use for Lighting after seeing her in the trailers. The woman has guts. But, this is just based off of what I've seen so far. Whether she will make a good lead character or not will be decided once the game actually comes out.

I find it really awesome they are finally using a girl as a lead. As from what I've seen. Lightning looks like she has a bit of the Lady Ashe personality.

Stern
Moody
Wanting to do things on her own

That is the vibe I get from her. Idk if I am right but it's what I get out of it. As for now she seems like a pretty decent lead. Although there is nothing that sparks about her just yet. I will give it time though.

A lot of people not too enthusiastic from what i've read :S I hope she doesn't turn out to be another stereotypical, brooding, keeping their emotions wrapped up hero..ine.

No, really.
Well, from what I've seen of her I have to agree with everyone else. A female Cloud, which is an attractive prospect in itself. To be honest, Final Fantasy itself seems to be taking a darker, moodier look on things, especially with Noctis/Storm and now revealing Lightning's stern, independent streak.
Also, I can't be the only person to notice this. Storm? Lightning? Cloud? C'mon.

From what I have seen so far (not too much) of her, I like her.
She reminds me of Cloud (well, she is his female version after all) and I liked him in FFVII.
Looks like she is kinda the same role as him, rebelling against some kind of organization.

I think she is a good lead character, but then again, we know almost nothing about her. I don't even sure she IS the lead character. Maybe there is no lead character in this one (heard something about that the party is switched a lot or something)

Haha, I'm glad we're finally getting a kick-ass female as a lead. I personally liked Ashe quite a bit so... I'm just hoping that ~something~ will set her apart from the other moody leads other than boobs. D:

But if there's a female Cloud, I want a male Tifa sldkjfasl. :ness:

Well, my opinion of Lightning being a great lead still sticks after seeing the new trailers. But........something has been bothering me. Forgive me for sounding odd, since I can't really pin-point it, but for some reason, Lightning seems, I don't know, a little less...straight? I'm pretty sure I'm just imagining things since SE doesn't usually do that in their games. I guess it's just because of her attitude, or at least what we've seen of her attitude. I won't have a problem with it if she was, but it would be kinda surprising. 'Course, FFXIII may get booted up to an M-rating. Ah, guess it doesn't matter. Lightning will still be an amazing lead character in my eyes.

I know, I know. I'm just saying she just gives off the vibe. The only reason I'm beginning to think like this is because of her 'tough' attitude. Well, maybe she has softer side. After all, we barely know anything about her.
