For those of you who don't know, there is a man on the net who makes songs for fun, and for money. His name is Andrew, and his site is http:\\www.songstowearpantsto.com.
If you have read my other post on irony, you probably noticed the joke lyrics to Alanis Morissete's song "Ironic" at the bottom. In case you haven't, they were as follows:
"It's like 10,000 words when all you need is a few.
It's being clear and concise and also having a clue.
And isn't it laconic...don't you think?"
I thought this was really clever, and I'd like to make a whole song with this idea and have Mr. Andrew make it into a full fledged song. I will pay for him to make it, and I will post it here along with links when it is done.
However, I'm not going to be able to come up with all of the lyrics myself, and frankly, even if I could, it wouldn't be as fun. So, I'm asking all of you to give me some ideas. I will run with the best ones and pass it all on to Andrew. Now, it's possible that he may have an issue with it due to copyright laws, but he's done other parodies before, so I don't see it as being a problem.
The whole idea is to turn her song about irony into one about precise and concise speaking (to relate more to the forums), also known as being laconic. So, if you could, take a few listens to the song and post your ideas. I will be more than happy to compile them and share with you the results. And even if, for some reason, Andrew won't make the song, it'll still be fun.
