Have you heard of the Invisible Children?

Here's a link of explanation:

Well, I only recently learned about this at school, and it's terrible what's happening over in the Sudan right now. A new program, called Schools4Schools was established and is attempting right now to relieve these innocent children from the violence of the place they call home. Even the government, as far as I've learned, is helping out, but so far all I've heard is warnings to the militant government of the guerillas.

I think it's just terrible that these kids are exposed to such violence and horror. And not to mention being brainwashed and trained to kill....

I posted this thread because I thought it would raise awareness, strictly speaking. Please research this some more though, as it does help many of those in need.

Otherwise, post your thoughts on the subject and feel free to add any information you may have gathered.

Hmm, haven't seen any replies in a month =(

Well then, if any of you have ever heard of the program, feel free to post anyways. It's great to actually learn about this invisible war that never receives any coverage, or rather, hasn't, it sure has now and it's growing.

People in the world are too consumed in ever-rising gas prices to fill up their 12 mpg SUVs to care about thousands and thousands of children in another nation that are left with absolutley nothing, displaced and/or being forced to kill or die.

It's called INVISIBLE Children for a reason.

Meh, I suppose Fields, there are much more important things than children dying.

May sound sad and even quite evil, but I suppose it's the truth.
It's more about us than others. Sorry to say.
You're right.

We've taken in some Sudanese people. Went to school with some and they're really nice people.

A similar thing happened in the early 90's in Rwanda I think it was? There was like a genocide there and the world didnt really take notice.
