I heard I have to talk to the librarian at Balamb Garden with Zell in the group. My strategy guide said it's in disc 1. I have to talk to the people there repeatedly and then I have to talk to Zell's mom and she'll say she had a visitor. I then have to rest at the hotel and then when we wake up Zell is engrossed in a conversation witht he librarian and that she'll hand him a magazine but I'm on disc 2 now, can I still get it in disc 2?

Typically I never worry about the magazines. You can buy them all in the Estahr book store on disc 3.

Yeah if you want this publication you need to head to Balamb after you defeat Fujin & Raijin
at the hotel, indeed you need to have Zell in your party, but you need to look for the chick at the entrance to town. Speak to her and she will tell you the library chick with Pigtails was looking for Zell, next( this is optional I think) youcan talk to Ma Dinch and she will direct you to the Hotel.

Stay the Night and in the Mourning Zell will have left, he can be found in the foyer talking with the library Girl and she will proceed to give him the Combat KingIII magazine....I think?
