Hi All.:)

When you play do you go after every weapon?, complete all side quests? Max out character level? Myself, I like to complete all side quests and max out my characters. I like to take little notes as I go along. If I enter a place where I see treasure that I can't open due to various reasons, I like to make note of it so I don't forget about it, and come back later and see if it's available. That happens a lot in FF imo. You?

I think this varies for me, based on which game it is in the series. In general, I'll play through only doing certain sidequests that stick out to me. For example, I'll always do the chocobo racing and aeon hunting in 10. I'll always do tonnes of the sidequests in 10-2, due to it being a sidequest based game (same with 13-2). In 9, I'll always play a bit of tetra master and do some skipping in Alexandria; I'll always do the start of chocobo hot and cold, collect the stelazzios ("You obtain Cancer") and so much more. It really is based on the game.

I never max character levels, except for in 6, for some reason. That last dungeon with all those party branches scares me :/. Actually...I do this in 8 too for the same reason.

I don't tend to go for every weapon, except in 9 to learn the abilities; I don't worry too much if I miss one though. You can always just grab the ability later on in most cases, if not all. As for other FF games, I'll always try to keep my equipment up to date in town shops etc but I don't go out of my way for the better stuff, except sometimes the ultimate weapons. In 13 though...I don't care about my weapons at all all the way through; I just don't care enough.

I can't think of anything else and I'm not sure if any of this coherent at all (seepy cabbage) :lew:.

I usually go for all the content that I enjoy. For example in FFVII I finish all the side dungeons and such, but I avoid most minigames. Except for Chocobo racing, that one is awesome. Bonus dungeons and bosses are my favorite form of side activity. Unless they require massive amounts of grinding/farming or luck to beat, then I don't bother. The monster hunts in FFXII were also alot of fun, since they added small stories to them. It made hunting for LEGENDARY BEASTS OF YORE all the more interesting. They also added a nice organic element to the game without feeling like time sink content most open world rpgs fall victim to; go here, slay thing, report for 5 gold, repeat x infinity. I mean, how many rpgs have had a pudding monster that only shows up if your party consists only of girls. It's so creative!

My simple aim is to be able to kill everything in the game, optional or not. The optional content normally forces me to max out, which I typically don't have a problem with.

Varies for me. I did EVERYTHING in XII. 300 hours and all (screw you tournesol). But in general, i have the need to at least having all the weapons. I love weapons, especially in FF where the weapons are crazy.
