Help How do you breed your beastiest Gold Chocobos?

I'm just wondering if anybody has any method for making a more monsterous bird that I don't know about. I just catch the nessesary chocobos, make sure to feed them 99 Sylkis greens (Thank you W-Item) I race every chocobo in the family tree up to class S. All the good an great an wonderful an blue an green an black chocobos all get 99 Slykis and raced up to Class S. Which is an EXTREME pain in the ass for some of the good chocobos who have like 70 speed, you have to use the long race, ALL of your 999 stamina, hold all the L and R buttons AND square just to make it to the end of the race just in time for the 120 speed A Class chocobos come flyin up right behind you and you have to try to time stickin your ass in their face to block them from passin you to pull of a miracle victory.

Out of all those class S champions and monster breeds, Maria (My Gold Chocobo) has, of course, 999 stamina easily, and got her speed up to 167. Im pretty sure that Ive seen way faster chocobos in my past (Years ago. Havent played through VII in at least five.) Plus, Teioh is automatically more beasty then your chocobo.

I don't know, I was just curious, Because, I want to breed another crazy chocobo with like break neck speeds, and probably end up mating it with her.
 
I'll be honest, i've never managed to get a gold chocobo and therefore cannot get the Knights of The Round materia.

I'm gonna play through again with your tips because i REALLY wanna get a gold chocobo.
 
I have never really focused on the Chocobo breeding so much, I've always just made my ute Golden Chocobo [The one you get for beating Ruby sucks x.x;;] Then rose him up to S rank after stuffing his cute little face with Syliks greens, that's the only method I know about. =/

My favorite way is to breed in 5 wonderfuls before you start going down the line. that way you have a 1/64 great chocobo. the stats would be that of a wonderful, but it's classification would be wonderful/great. Basically it is either or.
 
I get the golden chocobo but i don't even bother playing more chocobo races after that because it starts to get boring really...

To get a gold chocobo you just need to put the chocobos in class A if i'm not mistaken, and i don't think Theo is that amazing the course conditions help him a lot but just as soon as you get the green and blue chocobos and you choose the long or short race he won't be much trouble, as long as you have the right stats that is.
 
you get a gold chocobo for beating Ruby?

I REALLY need to play FFVII again. Haven't completed it in at least 2-3 years and i don't think i beat Ruby then, i just rushed through it.

First time i completed FFVII was 10 years ago so i can't remember getting the gold chocobo then either.
 
167? That’s extremely fast. The fastest gold chocobo that I ever managed to breed had a top speed of around 170. I think, it was quite some time ago. In any case, I basically used the same tactics you have – the only difference is, I don’t feed each of my chocobos 99 slykis greens – I only feed them about 30. Also, I don’t race them up to S rank. Just A. You should also try experimenting with different types of nuts. Different types of nuts yield different results.

 
Once you know how to get a Gold Chocobo, it's really easy.

I can't be bothered going into detail, just look on Gamefaqs ;)

It's great when you have one though, you are able to get The Mine Command Materia, Quadra Magic Support Materia, HP/MP Materia and of course the Knights Of The Round Materia :D.

You can also get win cool stuff from the Gold Saucer if you reach class-S and win 15 races on the trop.
 
it's a very long and annoying proceedure, if I remember correctly is all I can add, sorry guys!

Yes, you actually get a gold chocobo for giving the artifact you get from Ruby (Earth Harp, I think) to the old man in Kalm and he gives you a crappy-statted gold chocobo, it's enough to get KOTR, and even if you don't want to beat Ruby, if you can manage to handle Emerald, whatever item you get from him, you trade to the old Kalm man and he'll give you 'Master Summon' materia which lets you cast KOTR without ever having breeded or otherwise attained a gold chocobo.

In any case, it's a great game, I strongly recomend extra play-throughs, beat emerald, beat ruby, breed a gold chocobo, do all that. It's all great.

Also, you can get a secondary 'Master Summon' from the Huge Materia that Bungenhagen is holding for you in his little planetarium in Cosmo. Just master all the summon materias and go talk to the red Huge Materia and it'll shit out a Master Summon materia, same for the magic command and support huge materias, master all materia types for each and they birth a Master Materia-Type materia. y0 this emerald pile of crap is pissin me off, he gets like 5 turns to hit me in a row while. really a pile of crap
 
Aire Tam Storm is Emerald Weapons weakest attack.

Aire Tam is Materia backwards, sort of.

It's a piece of shit attack that basically taxes your materia (Which a lot of people rely on too heavily to defeat Emerald) I think it exactly works like 1,000 points of damage per every piece of materia you carry per person. Soo, each person with ten pieces of materia gets a 9,999 automatic casket. Basically all you can afford to put on your characters is a couple of mastered HP/MP+ Give someone final attack paired with phenix (Preferably person with highest defense, theyll probably die last, makin phenix more effective restorin more people) give someone master summon (For phenix, too) or just get KOTR. Mimic KOTR over and over, and omni slash if it comes up.

Just cut back on the materia, bare essentials, keep your health up, keep mimickin kotr an omni slash, youll push through him eventually.
