How about Midgar Headquarters

I usually go though the the front that way I can lvl up a little in the elevator, and see the new Shin-Ra car models. Like sure the stairs are easier with no random encounters and such but where the fun in that, as for all the items the only things I did'nt get was the items that you need the tickets for. I always seem to use to many to get to the ones I want and end up losing out on the chance to get them.

Yes, its his ultimate weapon, but when you first go in to the Shinra Headquarters, Cloud doesnt know what the hell it is, or what its used for. When you go back the second time, THEN you get to keep it and use it.
 
The first time at headquarters I first went to use the stairs instead of barging in the front. Well, I thought the stairs were just endless stairs so at some point I actually turned around and went back down and just went through the front doors since I thought the stairs would actually never end. I thought maybe something was wrong with my game.
 
i actually did it both ways. i went up the stairs and then i went down the elevator and did it that way. it didnt take me that long to do the stairs.
and yes i got all the items!! :P
 
At the entrance you can fight some guards who give good EXP!

I always level up one or two levels there!

And the first time i saw Rude coming in the elevator he sounded like a Men in Black agent "Press up please..."
