Disclaimer: I don't know SHIT about computers. Virtually nothing. So, if I'm overlooking something incredibly obvious, please don't insult me. Unless it's so blatantly obvious that I deserve said insults, then I'll completely understand and won't stop you.

So, my mother finally got a external hard-drive today. I spent about 45 minutes to an hour putting files from mine and my mom's account onto it. But, I've been looking around and of the 138 Gigs that there are on the main hard-drive (partition C or whatever it's called) only about 90 are free. I've looked around to see if there are other files I could move but there's nothing major that needs to be moved and I can't find the folders that are taking up so much space. Is it possible that there's something that there's a folder that can't be looked up in the control panel?

Any help would be appreciated. :8F:

Well first of all you know that pretty much all the programs you install are stored in your C Drive, anyways that's also where the Windows OS is installed which is about 16ish gigs. So altogether that's taking up approx 20gbs of space, not too sure about the other 18 though really. Hard drives tend to clutter up a lot though, so saving everything you want to on an external hard drive and formatting C is always an option.
