Besides the fact that the little caption thingy said Lightning in the corner, they just think that's her name coz of a few of the other main character's name in other squenix games: Cloud, Squall, Tidus(means Sun), and Sora(means Sky). Well, whether that's her name or not, I couldnt care less.

the weather/sky based names didnt just start in the PS era either the names have had a natural tone since the snes era to . I dont have any names on me right now due to it being years since i played them but im pretty sure its been going on for a while . Also natch would fit better then lightening though , natch is another word for natural/nature .

I must say, Lightning would be a name for someone who was doing character design with no talent who saw a thunderstorm and said, "Hey! We'll name her Lightning!" If I had to choose between Natch and Lightning, Natch would win because it sound more creative. Um...Yeah, that about it. Zack, out.
