Not sure if I've posted this in the right thing, if I haven't I'm sorry this is my first post.

Does completing the Blitzball tourament change the outcome of the game?

I've just completed the game against the Luca Goers and won. It took me ages. I can't stand playing Blitzball!! I know now I can go around recruiting different players to my team and teaching them abilities and junk but I don't really enjoy playing blitzball.

So I'm just wondering what I would be missing out on if I didn't bother with it all together from this point on? Can you even do that? Or do I have to grit my teeth and go through with it? Cus the thought of going round lookin for players and training them up grates on my brain.

I did have a search on eBay before bothering you all. I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Just pages and pages of Blitzball techniques.

Please help! PM me if you like.

Moved to help booth ^^

You dont have to carrry it on, but you will mis out on wakkas ultimate weapon AND his best over drive attack reels so as annoying as it is, its WELL worth the ball ache

Thank you :)

As long as it doesn't change the game outcome then I'll give it a miss this time and save my gil cus I got my heart set on those music and movie spheres.

Give it a shot through the next playthrough - count it as part of a future challenge. Collecting the ultimate weapons is itself a good challenge, as well as achieving their full potential.

nice thing about it is that if you ever feel like doing it later, you can. you can wait til just before the end of the game to get wakka's stuff. i'm pretty sure anyways.

I got something little to say

Yeah blitzball was one of the last things I did in the game, almost. Brother was the secret weapon. There are other great character you can recuite. There's a faq on it but I don't feel like pulling it up. Wakkas Ultimate weapon and attack reals are great. as is ject shot and ject shot 2.

Yeah, it is just a sort of diversion (although Wakka's weapon and reels are nice). Still, for a mini-game is pretty deep, what with recruiting players and with teaching players skills...I enjoyed it
